Of course it was. You're telling me the lines were so long – at 7 p.m., when the polls closed – that it took more than 3 hours for everyone in the line at 7 to vote? With only a few ballot questions? If that was, in fact, the case, then, quoting Matt Callister, "[the registrar of voters] oughtta be shit-canned."

Who cares. Don't you want people to vote? Ultimately one of the shitty candidates is going to win, let the people decide.

The polls at Cardenas were scheduled to close at 8, actually, and yes the lines were that long at that hour. And for what it's worth, a lot of sites had long lines at the scheduled closing time on Friday and stayed open to process everyone through. That happened all over the valley, Cardenas just got the press attention.

The whole polls close at 7 thing is a big lie anyway. Per everything I've read, all voting sites were open late on the last day of early voting. So there was no "advantage" given. The RJ tried to tweet out at 7 pm closing time earlier in the day and then pulled it when Ralston shamed them.

This is just the Trump campaign trying to cover up his coming wipeout. When you have GOP operatives telling CNN Clinton is going to win in an electoral landslide, you know your campaign if screwed. And given that Trump has spent no money on GOTV efforts, he knows it too.

Okay, forgiveness is a virtue, but that monster Janet Reno is assuredly not resting in peace. If there his a hell, she is in it.

I was six when Janet Reno became AG (and now I'm an attorney myself! Suck it grandpas!) so my retrospective understanding was that the hatred for her was driven by the right-wing media. And I mean, I still think that's a big factor in it, but she was involved in some independently bad stuff. Like I had no idea she was involved in the 80s Satanic panic.

Why is that not believable? I know people who spent at least 2 hours in line because they waited until the last day of early voting, and that was early afternoon. I'm sure the lines got longer as time went by. The last vote wasn't even cast at the polling station they were bitching about, so they're full of shit. Just trying to lessen the blow of losing.

To the extent that any polls were open late, they were open for Trump voters as well. If your path to victory requires preventing people who want to vote from voting, then you need to go back and repeat high school civics.

Hardy and Eric Johnson are pissed you are not voting for them. This is why I did not vote for them, either.

I voted for HalverLevySon. I believe in judicial on the job training…who could it hurt? Besides, I love Los Angeles entertainment attorneys….and Voldemort…and veterinarians in politics!

Judicial on the job training? You mean like Eric Johnson got who had never been a judge (and rarely appeared in State Court other than to have lunch with his wife) before? Be careful with this standard because then you get Small Claims referees claiming to be the most experienced candidates in their races.

HalverLevySon…LMOA! Hey 11:46, please share Levy's trial experience, both here and in CA, state and federal. I used her facebook page and her website to ask her for that info and was ignored.

But you Voldemort must have inside information, so please share.

Ah, this is why I voted for Levy and Gale. This is the maturity level you have on the bench with Eric and Susan Johnson, along with Hardy. Scary.

Um, Harmony sucks. Needs a proof reader. Maybe she could get "double kickstand" James Murphy to edit her misspellings.

12:02 I agree. It makes me cringe every time I read it, and I've read it a lot lately — on the newspaper, on billboards, on yard signs. Worried the nonsensical might work, though.
