It’s finally election day, so here’s a post for you to discuss today’s event to your heart’s content. As usual, we ask that you keep your comments professional and try to avoid rhetoric while you offer your incredible legal analysis and insights into the occasion. We won’t have a separate post today for legal news because basically this is all the news outlets are covering today. But if you want to talk about OBC or the NSC or the fact that next year’s Annual Meeting is in Washington, D.C. feel free to do so. Meanwhile here are a few stories for today:
- NV Secretary of State looks to have faster results this year. [KTNV]
- Election day is not results day. [Nevada Current]
- Las Vegas election worker says she was attacked. [8NewsNow]
And for later today, here are some links for election results:
I think we’re going to shut this one down, folks. Make sure you all head out there to the polls to voice your opinion where it actually matters, and regardless of how things turn out, please be good to each other.
Fuckin A Lawdawg. Someone about to go postal on this blawg. . . . .
You know who you are.
Monster thwackage!!
All good LD. It had to happen.
Historical tsunami of thwackage. Unprecedented thwackage. Redefining the term “one fell swoop”.
Turns out this was the red wave people were talking about
Almost as huge as the Thwack wave from yesterday.
Oh come on, it was all in good fun!
Well for some of us. It was.
I went to lunch and the whole place went to hell.
Thank you law dawg.
When can we start constantly refreshing the website with the local results?
Nevada has a reputation for being slow getting the results tabulated in national elections. Maybe the SOS has improved things in the last 4 years.
“discuss today’s event to your heart’s content.”
“keep your comments professional”
anything I disagree with is not professional
TRUMPSLIDE 2024!!!
Yay we win!
How deeply embarrassing Texas and California can count votes on election day but Nevada and Arizona cannot. The world laughs at us.
The splits in those states are so huge that the races can be called early. Better example would be Michigan and Pennsylvania which are larger states with narrower margins.
What the heck happened in Nye County?
