BK Hottie + Doug Ansell = Troy Fox
damn you're good.
Double Kickstands Good.
Obviously all of the above posts are the same person. Please spare us your attempt at doing a comedy routine on the blog.
I'm one of the posters above. So unless I'm schizophrenic, they are not all the same person.
Me too. And I'm not 7:22. I'm yesterday's 11:27. And I just don't think Troy gets enough play around here.
8:48. still curious
I am 12:03. I have nothing to do with the other posts. Cannot attest to whether the others are the same person (although they claim to not be and clearly got into their respective offices much earlier this morning than I did).
Condolences to Lehman's family.
Curious to find out what PI mill(s) was filing cases for these fraudsters.
The article only indicates these fraudsters were filing insurance claims – not personal injury suits. I'm not sure you can rely on the RJ for the full story under any circumstances, but maybe (hopefully) our colleagues aren't involved this time?
Even the milliest mills have more self-respect than to engage in such things. The more likely culprit if these things were ever going to attorneys is some first year solo who doesn't know any better.
Milliest of Mills…
Lol!
LB – this stuff goes on all the time at LA's millier mills. Call any personal injury lawyer in Koreatown, for instance, or the inner San Gabriel Valley, or East LA . . .
So are more indictments of the attorneys/treating doctors going to follow? Were the defendants always using the same plaintiff attorneys/treaters?
Several attorneys have been identified, none publicly. At least 1 is a well known player.
How would the attorneys/treating physicians know their clients/patients were making bogus claims?
Who is William Onyeabor
but these arent even funny
at least ansall is tangential related / semi relevant
For those of you too young to have appeared in front of Judge Lehman, you missed out on… an experience. RIP
He could be a little harsh and intemperate at times, particularly if an attorney was ill-prepared and/or kept repeating an argument Lehman had already indicated was not valid. So, under those circumstances, his impatience was quite understandable.
He was one of the brightest and best-prepared jurists during much of his tenure. He could also be quite witty.
One thing to be alert to is that if he found your position to be the more valid one, it was time to shut up and let him have a dialogue with the other side wherein he essentially argued your position. There are still a few judges who take this approach, and often young or inexperienced attorneys don't pick up on this and they keep arguing.
Lehman was at his very best in civil case, particularly personal injury matters.
I haven't read the obit. yet but I hope they mention his childhood experiences, and fleeing Europe during the Third Reich. I also hope they mention that as a young man he hosted a children's program on local television.
A lengthy life very well-lived. And a quite interesting life at that.
I can't decide what I like more, a judge who will argue and ask questions while I'm doing my argument, or a judge who just sits back and listens to both parties make their arguments and makes a ruling without much engagement.
I've found that the judges who argue with me do so only to prove that they are right and to point out that they are smarter than me. I only engage with this when I feel like they have a valid question about the points I'm making. If they only want to argue, I find it more effective to ask them questions that demonstrate the faults in their reasoning. Because I know their mind is already made up.
Cannot locate a copy of the criminal complaints / indictments. Can someone help?
Case number if that helps:
C-17-326471-1 | State of Nevada vs Julio Gonzalez
I was checking to see if any Family Court judges or Family Court attorneys are still Facebook friends with He Who Shall Not Be Named(or Voldemort as some call him).
I'm sure there are others, but the only one I found so far is Jason Stoffel, wherein Voldemort's photo. and name prominently appear as "friends."
In defense of Mr. Stoffel, it is quite possible, and even probable, that he wishes such was not still the situation, but he realizes that unfriending such individual might create an unpleasant dynamic.
In further defense of Mr. Stoffel I understand that he cancelled on an event hosted by the organization wherein Mr. Stoffel was slated to appear on the panel.
Jason has been relatively active in commenting on Anti-WAR matters. It could be that it is better to stay "Friends" with the Devil to be able to track the Devil's movements.
Agreed.That's probably what it is.
Jack Lehman didn't tolerate fools but he did so much good for so many. RIP.
