11:12–I feel differently.Stoffel is actually the most qualified. Also has acquired administrative skills as past Bar President.

Needed to mature over the last few years, and I believe he effectively has.
As a young man running to unseat Ochoa back in 2014, did some bone-head things and made some bone-head statements. But he has not repeated such errors this time and has appeared to mature and become more likeable to is colleagues.

And during the 15 years he has developed into a pretty fair lawyer. Not great, but decent. I believe he is the best choice of the three.

What about Gemma, I have heard nothing about her, which is usually a good sign.

Not Cutter. When she was opposing counsel, after my first few experiences with her, I would send a confirming letter if she told me it was Wednesday. And then she might deny that she got the confirming letter!

Nadin Cutter and her firm were very rude to me on the phone, like, 8 years ago, so I will not be voting for her. Lol

All joking aside: obviously, this is only anecdotal and it was a long time ago. I was a legal assistant then, but now as an attorney (in a different practice area) I still often recall that phone conversation and how disrespected I felt. She will not be getting my vote. Also, for those who care, she has been publicly reprimanded by the state bar for lack of diligence and competence.

No to Cutter. Dealt with her as opposing counsel – rude and sketchy.

Cutter pissed off opposing counsel so badly in a case he brought his own stenographer to the hearing in front of the Discovery Commissioner. When the stenographer started making a record the Discovery Commissioner inquired what was going on and then allowed it…on the caveat that only the Court's record would be the official record. The defense counsel that brought the stenographer called her a liar and said he had to have everything she ever communicated to him recorded by some means.

It was hilarious. But I still think she is a decent lawyer.

Going with Stoffel in this race. Who ever heard of Gemma? Not me. She will take away some of the female vote that might not vote for a male judicial candidate. This only hurts Nadin. Nadin might be a good judge down the road but right now, she lacks the experience and the ability to work effectively with people to be good on the bench. I would agree with the other comments made about Nadin in these posts. This case might not even get past the primary with Stoffel possibly getting the win outright.

11:17–it may play out that way if Gemma effectively splits the Pro-Female vote

There is no really good choice here, but I'll probably hold my nose and vote for Jason. Nadin is a solid NO. I've gone against her and second the comments here regarding her lack of integrity and rude behavior.

Stoffel used to frequently post and pal around on Facebook with SS. Anyone know if Stoffel has distanced himself from ViP? I will say the DiCero Group has gotten to be equally dangerous and wacky.

This is Jason Stoffel, candidate for Family Court Judge in Dept T. I do not support Mr. Sanson or his group Veterans in Politics for a variety of reasons. Yes, I have completely distanced myself from V.I.P.I. He has gone too far on his war against Family Court that it is clear my best interests are served not being friends with Steve for the past few years. I hope that answers 10:19's comment.

Wacky for exposing SS? Who would want to associate with this character? https://www.ncwpac.org is pretty informative.

Wacky in that they took on a position of "Anything that my enemy supports is my enemy." As a result, NCW has slunk to the level of VIPI in the slugfest and is doing the same things– smearing litigants and witnesses in cases. Turning against attorneys who might have nothing to do with VIP but who are on the same side of a case that VIP supports. I supported Mark when he started but he has lost his way. I read NCW site and candidly it makes this Blog look tame and responsible. The defamation flows pretty heavy on there for really no good reason. PS: Good to hear Jason. Very prudent.

Notice that Stoffel's response is that it is not in his interest to be friends with SS, not that he disagrees with him. Stoffel is not fit to be a family court judge. This race has no good option, but I have to go with Nadin Cutter on this one. I will never vote for a Cooley Law Grad for judge.

5:05: His response was SS "has gone too far on his war against Family Court…." That is a principled response that says that he disagrees with VIPI and has distanced himself. There was a point in time that SS seemed to advocate for more transparent justice (although the means were not always on target). Stoffel is right even those who defended VIP have a hard time today. Similarly those who defended NCW now find an organization that has largely jumped the shark, from protecting to perverting justice.

As far as Nadin, anyone who refers to themselves as the "Managing Partner" of a 1 lawyer firm, well….

It's extremely clear that Stoffel is an opportunist. Stoffel was given VIP information on Ochoa when he ran against him and now it sounds like he picked another side in an effort for him to become a judge. We could see him doing this behind the "bench". My sources said that Stoffel never sat down with anyone from VIP in an attempt to discuss the issues. With that information it's clear that Stoffel was promised something to exit VIP. I received this in my email account and it sits on VIP website: https://veteransinpolitics.org/2020/07/jason-stoffels-corrupt-family-law-attorney-string-pullers-are-working-overtime-to-help-make-him-a-family-court-judge/

Stoffel's office is involved with some questionable transactions with your clients. Will not be voting for you.

This is a must read!

Jason Stoffel’s corrupt family law attorney string-pullers are working overtime to help make him a Family Court judge

“The last thing that the Clark County Family Court needs is another prejudiced “judge” focused more on the enrichment of crony attorneys than on the best interests of the child.”
