Even Teuton's critics would have to support him over Kurth, who will never remotely approach being passable judicial material. He is an affable enough sort, but there is no blinking at the fact that he is a complete buffoon. He is a perennial candidate who obviously keeps running because he maintains a failing practice with very few clients. After over 20 years in practice he has never become even remotely competent at any area of law. Again, he is friendly enough, but so are most circus clowns. Kurth will never have anything to offer, He is completely befuddled by the most simplistic legal concepts, and perhaps we wouldn't have to repeatedly endure fools like this if they raise the filing fee to run for judge, It would weed out folks like Kurth. And as bad as he is as an attorney, he is an even worse judicial candidate. He's run 8 or 10 times yet always disappears in the primary with like 1% or 2% of the vote. He habitually gets crushed by people who don't even campaign or put up any signage. But I guess I'm being too hard on the guy. He was simply not blessed with much of an intellect. His severe limitations are not his fault.

Just for clarification, I didn't literally mean he has run 8 or 10 times, but he has run a lot(perhaps about half a dozen times.). And to be more literal he does receive a lot more than just 1% or 2% of the vote. And whether it is a failing or unsuccessful practice, or a successful practice, all depends on what type of other long-term practices it is being compared to. That's a totally subjective matter. Apparently,it is sufficient to meet his particular needs and goals, and in that sense it can be viewed as more successful than I might think it is. And obviously statements about his intellect are just hyperbole and lampoonery. Actually, he is quite able and competent enough in his own way. I was merely making the broader point that individuals should distinguish themselves in a certain area of law(s), and build an extensive record(in the area of law the particular judgeship concerns), rather than just running al the time. But there are several others who also run repeatedly, and most of them make Robert Kurth look like a Rhodes Scholar in comparison. I believe I was a bit harsh on him in a spirit of levity. I still think that he doesn't provide a sufficient legal record to justify removal of a good incumbent. But although I don't find him to be a brilliant legal scholar(few are) his integrity, honesty and ethics appear to be beyond reproach, He is big-hearted, and it appears he often helps clients at greatly reduced rates. Upon reflection, those characteristics are a lot more important, in the long run, than technical legal acumen.

No way Teuton will get any votes other than his wife Sylvia, and his son Robert Jr. His daughter Isabella is too young to vote. The reason why so many people hate Judge Bob Teuton is because he is super fake, and ultra weak. He takes money from women's groups, and then screws BOTH women and men. Single moms lose their parental rights in his juvenile court, but only after they go through the 'parenting' classes he was paid to set up at East Valley Family Services, back when he served on their board in 2009-2010. Not unlike his predecessor Pervert Judge Nicholas DelVecchio, he has a thing for women who have close encounters with his Court. Particularly white FOREIGN women. In his court, non-U.S. citizens can do no wrong, and win every time. If you are a woman, and you want to win in Teuton's court, speak with an accent, and let Judge Bob Teuton do the rest for you.

This comment about Department 22 in the RJ is pretty good:

Department 22 offers voters a much easier choice. Judge Susan Johnson, who is being challenged by Jacob Hafter, deserves re-election on her own merits. In last year’s Review-Journal Judicial Performance Evaluation, 71 percent of attorneys said she should be retained.

Mr. Hafter, an Orthodox Jew, marginalized his own candidacy earlier this year when he went on a social media tirade, calling District Judge Valorie Vega a racist and an anti-Semite during his trial before her. It was an especially foolish statement, considering Judge Vega’s husband, Review-Journal gaming reporter/columnist Howard Stutz, is Jewish. But the remarks could have led to a mistrial, which would have wasted court time and taxpayer resources.

Mr. Hafter is unfit for the bench. The Review-Journal endorses Judge Susan Johnson in Department 22.

Johnson is condescending, arrogant, and frequently wrong on the law. This is definitely a case of having to go for the lesser of two evils though, so she gets my vote, reluctantly.

For whatever faults Johnson may have, she would have to be beyond Halverson awful for me to vote for Hafter. Even then, I would likely opt for none of the above. However, I do not have any problems with Johnson and will vote for her, knowing that I have done my part to save the local judiciary from another disaster.
