I hoped I never would see Laxalt running for more state offices but here we are. Hopefully if he is rejected again he will set his sights on something more befitting his skillset such as Lyon County Library Board or similar.
Not true as Laxalt won his first race and has lost one. Tark ran 6 times before winning, and had to move.

There has been a water problem with the Colorado since the mid 1980's. They are now just getting around to it, I guess. The truth of the matter is that we are out in the middle of the desert and we need to take this issue seriously. That means that giant hotels do not get to waste a crap ton of water on fountains (and please do not give me the "it is recycled water" argument since that recycled water can go other places.
The fact of the matter is that de-salinization plants have been on the table for almost 4 decades. We have a tipping point coming up from an engineering perspective and it is not shaming residents with stupid Hockey team commercials trying to tackle people. Having residents cutting down on watering lawns is a small variable compared to the 800 lb elephant in the room.
The recent articles about the top ten water users in valley was very informative. So I did some research and I use about double the average homeowner uses for water. But I just love my nice front lawn and the large pool in the backyard. That is why my water bill typically runs between $150-$220 per month. But the average homeowner uses very little compared to the big users and the large properties like casinos. The people of this valley have done a great job in doing their part in conserving and should be thanked by politicians, business and large property owners, instead of being blamed for the water shortages and being threatened by hockey players.
CA, being right next to the ocean and who over the years has not taken significant efforts to conserve water, should be given a deadline to develop large-scale desalination plants allowing sufficient to allow it to become water-independant. With CA out of the CO River water compact, there'd be enough water for the rest of us.
jfc can you get over your hard-on for CA? I realize the tinfoil hat wearing right hates CA and it's progressive politics, but the reality it that CA alone constitutes one of the top 10 economies in the world (top 5 if I remember correctly) and they contribute more to this country than they take…unlike the very red flyover states
Politics aside – we should be reevaluating water usage for crops in califronia (and elsewhere). Almonds take a TON of water to grow – 1900 gallons for 1 pound of almonds. California spends 10% of its TOTAL water usage just on growing almonds.
I like to hate on California as much as the next Nevadan/Texan who wishes they'd stop moving to Nevada & Texas and screwing up those states. But – states that need more water from the Colorado River are going to have to foot the bill for California to scale up their desalinization plants foot acre for foot acre. If Nevada wants enough water for another 100,000 homes, Nevada will need to pay to build a desalinization plant in California that generates that much water for California to basically buy that much water from California's usage rights to benefit Nevada.
Lewy Body Dementia is the suggested donation. That's rough. RIP

I hope not. (I loved those comments.) With that said, it has been quite some time since the retired-to-Saint George lawyer left a comment (usually phrased as a question) on this blog.

Here's a completely innocuous request: What's your favorite music to grind to? For me, Deadmau5 is the reliable big gun I bring in for difficult motions. Easier motions groove to Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation. For brain freezing discovery I chill to Shingo Nakamura and sometimes random Ambient Chillout mixes on YouTube.
Any suggestions? I've got some biggies coming down the pike and might want to experiment with music that works for other attorneys.
LYRICS
Something inside me
It's, it's coming out
I feel like killing you
Let loose the anger, held back too long
My blood runs cold
Through my anatomy, dwells another being
Rooted in my cortex, a servant to its bidding
Brutality now becomes my appetite
Violence is now a way of life
The sledge's my tool to torture
As it pounds down on your forehead
Eyes bulging from their sockets
With every swing of my mallet
I smash your fucking head in, until brains seep in
Through the cracks, blood does leak
Distorted beauty, catastrophe
Steaming slop, splattered all over me
Lifeless body, slouching dead
Lecherous abscess, where you once had a head
Avoiding the prophecy of my new found lust
You will never live again, soon your life will end
I'll see you die at my feet, eternally I smash your face
Facial bones collapse as I crack your skull in half
Crushing… cranial… contents
Draining the snot, I rip out the eyes
Squeezing them in my hands nerves are incised
Peeling the flesh off the bottom of my weapon
Involuntarily pulpifying facial regions
Suffer, and then you die
Torture, pulverized
At one with my sixth sense, I feel free
To kill as I please, no one can stop me
Created to kill, the carnage continues
Violently reshaping human facial tissue
Brutality becomes my appetite
Violence is now a way of life
The sledge's my tool to torture
As it pounds down on your forehead

and women. Not to be politically correct but women like to gossip also.
@11:52 uh..you weren't politically correct. It's birthing person now.
It's only birthing person if you have given birth otherwise you are leaving out the women who have not
We just said that we are cracking down on politics and we get a "Daily Stormer" link. Fabulous.

Fear not – that hockey player has moved on …

And that has any relation to Lake Mead and the CO River Compact how? Get a grip.

Yes that is nuts, and I do not even like almonds. The last season of Goliath dealt with almond growers who are crazy.
I did not see it posted here by Roger Wirth of JUWW passed away recently.
https://obituaries.mineralwellsindex.com/obituary/roger-wirth-1083035406
"In 2017, Roger and Kathryn moved to Ivins, Utah, where they lived at the base of a beautiful red sandstone mountain in the community of Kayenta."
I wonder if he was the retired-to-Saint George lawyer that left some of the better comments on this blog.
