I once heard a former IRA prisoner talk about the effects his hunger strike had on him. Not pretty. I suspect most inmates in our prison system will not last long in their efforts to hunger strike.
I watched a great mini-documentary one time, named something like Mankind History of Us All, it talked about how the effects of hunger drive people to almost go insane and how farmers had life spans of 5 years SHORTER than hunter gatherers because people would simply kill them to steal their food, there morals went out the window when they got that hungry, so I imagine 10:15 is right that whatever they are protesting might start to fade, also (proving I watch way too much video) make sure to see Daniel Day Lewis in that movie where he was IRA and imprisoned (name escapes me right now)

Haven't seen or spoken with Gianna in years. Doubt this was a big priority for her. Never got the sense that being a lawyer was all that important to her.
I worked with Gianna back in the 90's and she was bright and articulate, spoke 5 languages and appeared to love her job. She'd had a bad experience with a crooked client and wanted a government job until she recovered. Then she had horrible boss that just sucked all the life out of her and just seemed to give up. Lots of potential but no incentive. If she really is missing I hope she's okay where she's at.
yahoooo more negative comments about LDS people allowed on the blog, but if you even hint at anything negative to other religions then see how fast they come down, let me join in, Mormons have funny ears and smell like cabbage haha I can't stand hypocrisy, I'm leaving now
I did not read the comment as a generalized statement as against LDS people (and I am LDS). The comment seemed to be that there were or are very strong political families (Woodbury/Morris/Hardy) who are LDS and are perceived to have controlled Boulder City politics for a very long time. I am LDS and used to live in Boulder City and it was a constant topic in the town. Don't believe me? https://bouldercityreview.com/opinion/politics-religion-can-peacefully-coexist/
@12:55 I am LDS. Get over your persecution complex. 12:31
Didn’t say anything that closely resembles something negative about yours and my church. Also, sorry to read about your ears. Good luck with that, Brother.
@3:58- You are correct it is Steve and not Shawn. Although to say "way different" is a stretch if you know the Morrises (including when they practiced together in Woodbury Brown & Morris).
12:55 pm, give it a rest. I'm also LDS. Being LDS and an attorney in Las Vegas in 2022 is pretty darn great. Get over yourself and knock off the nonsensical persecution complex. Either that, or move to Utah County.
1.8 (j) A lawyer shall not have sexual relations with a client unless a consensual sexual relationship existed between them when the client-lawyer relationship commenced.

I have never understood hunger strikes. Let the prisoners starve themselves, it will help relieve overcrowding!
The Endangered Species Act should be called the Destroy Humanity Act. It's a weapon to destroy progress.

So who was the non-lawyer and what was the name of the firm? The story appears to get even crazier. https://www.reddit.com/r/vegaslocals/comments/z44339/requesting_help_finding_two_disappeared_las_vegas/

patience grasshopper. it's one of their annual threads in the next week or two.
Shawn Morris sues Boulder City alleging discrimination for being LDS when anyone who has spent any time in BC knows that it is second only maybe to Beaver, Utah as a town that has been almost expressly run by the church. https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/local-las-vegas/attorney-accuses-boulder-city-of-religious-discrimination-in-lawsuit-2689354/
It seems like he was fired for testifying that the mayor discriminated against others, not because he was LDS.

@ 12:55 go get a nicmo, you fetching dork
I believe you mean NCMO, but I agree with your sentiment.
Couldn't we all use a non-committal makeout?
I don't want to be pedantic, but NCMO with a client is a violation of the rules of professional conduct.

I dunno man, is ncmo "sexual relations"?
