I’m torn on Tahoe. The more we stop development, the more expensive it’ll be to access and the harder it’ll be for anyone but the rich to enjoy. But the more we allow development, the more we risk destroying what makes it great. I’m as YIMBY as they come but I think this is a difficult issue.

After not visiting Tahoe for several years, I was shocked last summer to see the overdevelopment. What was once pristine is now worse than Big Bear in So. Cal.

We have a house in Tahoe. Tahoe is nowhere near Big Bear level of overcrowding

The criteria for grading the “free speech climate” seem questionable. Whether or not an individual student subjectively feels that they can discuss any topics they want in a given class does not seem like an accurate representation of the overall climate of a college campus. Law Dawg would likely agree that not every forum is appropriate for every topic of discussion. But that doesn’t mean free speech is being impaired, generally. What I found shocking about that report is that “32% said using violence to stop someone from speaking on campus is acceptable, at least in rare cases.” I hope that is not accurate.

12:06 then I’d have to say you and your three upvotes are sorely out of touch with reality. No one paying any attention needed FIRE to conduct a survey to know that “free speech” on college campuses has been long dead for at the very least 10 years.

Anyone have a good therapist for a successful, non attorney? I have a client who is looking for one. He isn’t a lawyer, but is very successful. Despite this, he is depressed. Anyone have a good recommend?

$1,000 to $2,000 per month? Seems like a lot, but I suppose I’m not the target client.

He does appointments for a lot cheaper. He’s the man. I am sure if you call him he will work on pricing with/for you.

I read this as “He isn’t a lawyer… despite this, he is depressed.”

Not as a replacement for therapy but as an addition: I had deeppppp clinical depression and besides family and a therapist my getting a dog and working out helped me the most. Good luck to your friend. PS I must emphasize the dog part for a million reasons one can Google.
