"I would build a stadium and rent it out to the Oakland Raiders"

No, the public would build YOU a stadium, Sheldon, and then you would rent it out to the Raiders.

This guy is just awful.

It's interesting, don't you think, that when the RJ previously decided to suspend comments, the editorial board wrote an piece explaining the decision. But now? With Adelson at the switch? the comments are gone, apparently permanently, and Not. A. Peep.

I am no fan of Glen Lerner's but JESUS FRANKLIN CHRIST is that a hatchet piece. Lerner had one client (out of many) who tried to defraud the Claim Settlement system. There is no evidence Lerner or the firm knew that the client had filed false tax returns or filed a fraudulent claim. Lerner's alleged conduct (although it appears pretty well proven) is that he tried to have claims handled faster and moved to the front of the line. But this story equates Lerner with (1) the cause of 11 people who burned to death and (2) tax fraud– none of which Lerner had anything to do with.

The Lousiana Bar would have governed the conduct in question in Louisiana; why isn't the SBN just deferring to the state which actually would have governed the conduct and just reciprocally discipline Lerner based on what Louisiana finds, rather than trying to run a transcontinental investigation? Is Jane Ann Morrison neighbors with Stan Hunterton and formerly with Bruce Markell? Because the Grim Reaper doesn't have as big of an axe to grind as Jane Ann.

Jane Ann has authored many a hatchet job when it comes to any number of lawyers. Some were in trouble for good reason (e.g. Randolph Goldberg) but everything she writes on this topic is extremely one-sided. Let her take the bar and try to run her own practice; then she can be free to shoot off her mouth.

Jane Ann is good friends with a former LV Muni Judge and I loved her totally unbiased (yes that is sarcasm) opinion on the backroom dealings of that shit show. Jane Ann just needs to fade off into the sunset, she's well past her expiration date as a columnist.

For far too long OBC was toothless. Now there is a new sheriff in town and they are holding people responsible. Its about time. I have had tens of millions in my trust account and can balance to the penny at any time. You take an oath, you are held to a higher standard. It come with the job…

All I can say is that what I read in the Bar Journal seems to be completely lacking in common sense. They will hang someone out to dry over a mistake or minor accounting problem involving a few thousand bucks, while someone with multiple counts or a trust account way off balance gets the same or similar punishment.

Sooooooo, your insights about OBC come from reading a few entries in a magazine once a month. Sooooooo, you really don't know what's really happening. Thought so

OBC does not practice law, 6:09 and 7:16. They are morons, along with Hardesty, and board of governors. You all are getting voted out.

Office of Bar Counsel, affectionately referred to as OBC, would investigate a tuna salad sandwich if it stunk up its microwave when cooked.

Not to be a scold, but WE elect the board of governors, aka the same bunch of brown nosers running for student council year after year. Perhaps more attention should be paid to those ballots.

1:39 Actually they are not allowed to have a microwave in OBC thanks to the ED. They have a kitchen but no microwave! Asst BC even bought one themselves but it was taken away.

I hear problems with ED can be treated with a regimen of Viagra and / or Cialis. Ask your doctor for details.

I take 1 x 900mg of Swanson L-Arginine, 1 x 100mg of Source Naturals Pycogenol, and 2 x 500mg of Now Maca. Hard as a rock for my wife.

I don't know Bonjovi, I've never met her (and spare us the lame joke of accusing me of being her). Nobody deserves this kind of ongoing, anonymous abuse and bullying. Nobody. It demeans our profession and each of us as humans. I refuse to give the anonymous personal attacks made in these comments, whether against Bonjovi or anyone else, any credence or to affect, in any way, how I view or judge the targets of this adolescent abuse.

You can't stop the pussy trolls on the internet. They project through anonymous blogs. They hate themselves so much it makes them feel better to put someone down. They are simply sad with where their life has led.

If you have issues with someone's behavior or performance, bag on them for that. Bag on her for calling herself "Corporate Consigliere." But mocking appearance is pretty lame. She certainly is not at all bad looking.

I know Gina from the Chamber, and she is not a very nice person. Very self-absorbed, and all attention is about her. She "tries" to be a political, public figure, so she is fair game to be discussed.
