No search warrant, the occupant refuses to allow them entry, and they walk around the outside anyway for two hours? Maybe not anything close to $25 mill, but I don’t hate the action. Get that paper and the attorney fees.

Disagree. Warrant to check the outside, establish parents alive, not under duress? What result if the attempted shooter had been in the house and holding a gun to the heads of the parents? Yes, a different suit claiming LVMPD was negligent.

SUPER stupid question from someone (me) who should know better, but I guess if the police want to question you the right response if you did nothing is to have a lawyer present (and “lawyering up” isn’t inferring guilt, which is how it’s often portrayed?) Sorry, I don’t practice criminal law so your world is a mystery to me

I like it. ANY civil rights violation should be met with 100% effort to stop their acts on the slippery slope. Not just police but all governmental entities are out of control.
