One does not need to fund an outside study to know this. Simply look at the staffing vacancies and save the state the $$.

Yes, a fine example of government at work. Common sense non-existent. Leadership afraid to make a decision. A knee jerk reaction to kick the can down the road by commissioning a study.

Loved the RJ’s article on the couple suing MGM. Yes, I’m sure they were peaceful model citizens just quietly minding their own business. You know, because hotel security just always randomly asks people to leave their club.

And because hotel security guards/cop wannabes never never overreact to anything or behave in a way that escalates instead of the opposite. i’ve seen cases where the customer being trespassed was a complete drunken a-hole who decided to start a fight, but also plenty of cases that were basically a nothingburger where the patron winds up in handcuffs because one of these geniuses got his shorts in a bunch over words that were used. Then they get held in the little make-believe jail for hours waiting for Metro, who will take forever to get there because they have real work to do elsewhere. I will wait to see the footage.

“It was a shock” says the guy who proposed a bill trying to eliminate judicial oversight of his administrative agency.

It must be very surprising when trying to behave like a dictator over the public waters and suddenly gets challenged.

“Everyone had to go over my head to the governor because I refused to follow the law. Why would I suddenly be fired?!”

Bye bye Ballou. Her married name is Colleen Baharav. I wonder why she went with Brown. She was the lead prosecutor on the Brad Bellisario case.

I can guess why someone would use Brown over Baharav when running.

Probably similar to the reason someone would use Albertson over Reizakis. (but this is just anonymous speculation on a blog)

This was the first example that came to my mind too. Ellie deserved better.

Anna Albertson changed her whole name, she was originally Yianna Reizakis. Guessing the reason is because you get some pretty negative results when you Google the latter.

Can anyone challenge Kishner or are we going to have to deal with this for another term?

Maybe some of the keyboard warriors in here should put their money where their mouths are and run against her. We can all sit here and complain about bad judges all day long, but if nobody has the grit and gumption to challenge the abrasive incumbents, nothing’s ever going to change. I personally have no interest in running for a pay cut AND an increase in workload, but good on the folks that are up for that kind of thing.

Kishner ran a raucous campaign against Phil Dabney. Kishner and brought a lawsuit against the Judicial Commission in federal court. She will be no pushover. She has been on the bench since elected in 2010.

Dabney would have made a great judge. Lost by a hair. He might have eventually been picked off by the “Emerge Group” that targeted older white male judges and ran a slate of candidates.

We have contacted by a group that claims to have $450,000 ready to fund a challenger against Kishner and is looking for the right candidate.
