Asking For A Friend

  • Law

Let’s say that you get sued for malpractice. Of course, you’re going to call your insurance company, but then who do you call? Who would be your go to person for malpractice/professional responsibility defense? Are you going to let the insurance company decide or are you going to insist on using someone certain?

Also, how about Nevada leading the nation in wiretaps with 38 phone wiretaps per 500,000 people in 2013? [RJ]

This may be a dumb question, but how are wiretaps performed on cell phones? Do they go to the carrier and ask that they be able to listen in to calls that are made to/from that specific number?

Yes. They get a court order authorizing the "interception and capture of electronic communications including data, voice or other." By statute, within 90 days of completing the tap they must provide notice to the person tapped that 1. there was a tap, 2. Who is being investigated in the tap and, 3. if any information was actually intercepted and or captured.

It is very sad that, some day, the Truffle Shuffle will be lost to obscurity.

Felicia Galati, Bill Terry, Frank Cremin or Terry Coffing are great for bar stuff. Joe Garin and Felicia Galati for malpractice. Usually you don't get to pick, but you can make a specific request and they may allow you to pick. Usually it depends on your insurance policy.

Are u kidding? Bar defense is only Pitaro. He's kept so many people practicing that should not be.

I read that Noel Gage will be practicing soon. Can you believe it. Does anybody get disbarred anymore. It seems they get suspended and that is about it. Reinstated if they steal and pay it back.

Government's case fell apart against gage. He did not plead to much anyway.
