I don’t need to know any of the facts of that case to know that Judge Boulware would side with ACLU over the district in that matter.

Boy I liked Boulware when he first took the bench but he has become incredibly sloppy in his decisions. We have two cases with him where he ruled on issues which no one brought up because they were completely inapplicable to the action.

Just had a judge grant a motion for fees and costs that had never been filed, never been briefed, had no Brunzell factors. When counsel asked how the court could award fees and costs without a motion and without even knowing how much the fees and costs are, Juge Ballou stated that whatever the fees are she was finding them to be reasonable. The gift that keeps on giving.

NRCP 54(d)(2)(A) and Winston Prod. Co. v. DeBoer (122 Nev. 517) says fuck her judgment, and appeal that shit as a special order within 30 days of the NEO, subject to any tolling motions. If the (d)(2)(B) 21 days for filing the motion has already passed thanks to the court’s sua sponte granting of the mystery motion, OC can go fuck themselves, since that’s jurisdictional. Just watch out for (d)(2)(B)’s “unless a court order provides otherwise.”

No longer messing with life and liberty, now messing with property and treasure. I guess the silver lining is that your record is rock solid (based on what you are saying). It will be interesting to see what tone the Supremes take when they overturn her.

Your “Are you a human” check on Odyssey makes me want to dig a hole in the desert and drop your entire company into the hole.

The Tiger King! That was the SHIT during the lockdown. It’s part of our culture now. That was the best lucky timing of any series release ever. What does a nation do when locked down for only two weeks? Watch the mf’ing Tiger King!

Trump pardoning white collar criminals that steal money left and right. Makes me wonder why he has a soft spot for this type of criminal.

Clearly you know nothing about white collar crime. The deck is so blatantly stacked and the DOJ has practically eliminated the mens rea.

Not to even mention the “intended loss” joke.

The sentences for these non-violent and often first time offenders is offensive to the notion of criminal justice.

Great. For those of us who’d like to suprise a friend with a birthday pardon, any idea what the going rate on a donation for a pardon is? The *current* pardon attorney, the inveterate scumbag Ed Martin, says “No MAGA left behind.” Assuming my friend would have voted for Trump had it not been for, you know, felon status, how many $1 million / person fundraising dinners do I have to sit through?

Did he just commute the sentence or did he fully pardon them and they don’t have to pay any restitution?

You won’t have to wait long. Joe Biden should not have pardoned Hunter Biden. Full stop.

Now you have permission to criticize the Dear Leader’s unethical pardons (including these reality TV clowns and Michele Fiore).
