I like how the NSC acts as though it's Sheldon's personal forum. He's had now, I think, three oral arguments in the span of a few months. Is a judge not recusing herself an emergency matter for anyone else in the state?

I watched the oral argument on the Supreme Court's website. I believe Mr. Dershowitz was flippant with the Justices on several occasions, including when he overtly refused to answer questions posed by one of the justices concerning application of the Nevada Code of Judicial Conduct. Mr. Dershowitz's argument provides a good reminder to respond constructively to questions during an oral argument when the judge (or justice) expresses his or her concerns about the proposition being argued by the attorney. Mr. Dershowitz apparently declined to construe the questions as an invitation from the skeptical justice to respond to the court's concerns. Sadly, a disappointing performance from one of the our country's most respected advocates.

But he is ALAN DERSHOWITZ! I mean, our Justices should have been honored to just have him present.

So basically, "paralegals" can just post ads on Craigslist advertising their legal work with impunity. They're not even trying to hide it, but nobody in this state will do anything about it. Great.

Come on–he has the disclaimer in there. "Eviction 99 Las Vegas is a Non-Lawyer Service. The information provided through Eviction 99 Las Vegas cannot be used for legal advice. State of Nevada prohibits paralegals from offering legal services directly to the public and such practice would be considered 'the unauthorized practice of law'. . . . You may search for a qualified Attorney at the State Bar of Nevada." So long as he has a disclaimer, he is not practicing law.

He is not practicing law….his disclaimer says so!

Yes, and directly above that disclaimer he offers to …..practice law. He's telling clients he will apply legal standards to the fact patterns presented to him by those individual clients. That's practicing law no matter how many magic disclaimers he puts up.

2:27. Sorry, I just realized that you guys might be being sarcastic. It's after lunch and my ability to distinguish between actual stupidity and satire is greatly diminished.

I love that he's got ads that say "We stop evictions! For $250 you can stay in your home, rent free!" and also ads that say "Kick out deadbeat tenants! Get paid!"
