Let me be the first to say that the blog is dead in 2017. RIP blog. Thanks for the memories.

It is a rip off from a blog called "Above the Law". There used to be one or more trolls who would constantly post "blog is dead" in the comments, no matter what the article was. Out of a lack of creativity, this person is copying that and trying to make it a thing here.

So no one has commented on the circus that is about to occur next Monday in District Court. We got an email from Hardy announcing that he is moving to Courtroom 3H on Monday. So we contacted Sturman who indicated that she is moving to 10D, where Eric Johnson is moving to 12A, where Denton is moving to 3D, where Jones is moving to 3B where Bell is moving to 15A, where Delaney is moving to 3F (etc. etc. etc)….. And nobody has been told of any of these moves. You would think 3 business days before a radical shakeup of the entire District Court that someone would have announced it.

They didn't give the departments much notice either. Departments M (Judge Potter) & S (Judge Ochoa) will be taking over adult guardianship cases, with future cases assigned to them and Judge Sturman (Dept. 26). They will all be on 10th floor.
Now that Judge Gonzalez is Chief Judge, all of her criminal cases will be assigned to Dept. 1 (Judge Cory). Over 600+ of his civil cases, along with others will be assigned to Dept. 18 (Vacant) and moving to the Phoenix Bldg.
Judge Bell will be taking over the O.P.E.N. Program (Criminal)and moving to 15A and doing 1/2 civil, 1/2 criminal.
Judge Escobar will retain her civil cases and FDUI cases and will be moving to 14C.
New Judge Jones (Dept.29) will be moving to #3B. Judge Denton will be moving to #3D. Judge Eric Johnson will be moving to #12A. Judge Hardy will move to #3H. Judge Delaney will be moving to #3E.

No Administrative Order has been issued on any of the moves to 3rd floor.

Can you imagine the Cluster this weekend as people are moving out and other people are moving in, but you cannot move in until I move out…… Seriously this reminds me of the way that we selected rooms in my fraternity by Pin Number.

Wow: "While Graham shuttered his firm, he logged into a corporate drop box and deleted nearly 3,000 files that related to clients, wire transfers and operations, according to the prosecutor."

So if you were Rob Graham, you know what is facing you from State charges. You know your wife is going to distance herself from you. Do you try to make it to Venezuela?

I've known Rob for many years both on a professional and personal level.
My prediction on how this all plays out is that his children need to brace themselves for the very worst and final choice that Rob will make for his own resolution. Rob is a fake and a coward. He does not have the personal fortitude or internal character to actually face the consequences of his criminal conduct. His personal and professional life is destroyed. He is facing a remaining life of incarceration. His place in his own family as a husband, father, and grandfather has been destroyed as well. I'm calling it a suicide checkout by Mr. Graham. Actually, and unfortunately that's the best remedy for all involved. The money is gone and any further time and money wasted on this true POS would be better served in changing the way estate counsel controls estate funds prior to the lawful disbursement to the rightful heirs.
Good riddance

Hold on. You are not REALLY cheering for a man to die are you? I don't care that he (allegedly) stole millions of dollars. You are cheering for a father, a son, a husband and another human being to die over money? I want to give you the chance to clarify before I tell you to go fuck yourselves.

@ 1:50 I don't think that 1:39 is cheering for anything. I think the post is a predictive analysis of 1:39's knowledge of Rob Graham. Hard to argue that Rob Graham is a POS! This country sends it's young men and women to die in war over money doesn't it? I know! ideologies can be argued into infinity! But, here we have a selfish asshole in Rob Graham entrusted with the monetary life legacies of people who wanted to bequeath that money to their loved ones and he steals that legacy for himself! 1:50 you can go fuck YOURSELF! And please don't fuck anyone else to pass on your obviously flawed DNA!

1:50, 1:39 here… As others have posted prior to my reply, in reply to your post, I'm not cheering Rob to kill himself… I am giving my opinion on what I feel is most likely to occur given my years of knowing Rob and the selfish, cowardice nature of his character. Allegedly as you have so legally stated he has stolen millions of dollars of the estates of the deceased. REALLY? You are so much more informed at this point than the Bar and the DA? It is a forgone conclusion at this point, not a mere allegation! Pay attention 2013 Boyd Grad! Suicide is a very real consideration that I'm positive Rob Graham has already considered unless, he still has access to the money and therefor I'm sure he is considering several different possible places to flee…including Venezuela. My suggestion would be if he is as a devout Mormon as he has purported himself to be …big question there huh? There's several very elaborate LDS temples within a short personal drive for his personal sacrifice. Am I clear 1:50?

@2:01– "Good Riddance" is cheering the death of the man. "[T]he best remedy for all involved" is cheering the death of the man. No 1:39 quite clearly was cheering for the death of the man and that person (assuming it is not you) should be ashamed of themselves.

The bloodlust in this case over money shows exactly everything that is wrong with this case. Graham crossed lines over money. Encouraging the death of a man over money is nothing more than similarly crossing lines and for what? Nothing more than money.

I don't know if anyone who is owed that money feels the same – that it is "just money," but I think the "knowledgeable" friend's analysis would be best for post-suicide, or whatever he decides to do.

Word on the street, or rather in the hallways of the LDS, is that Graham is not even in town. Rumor is he is shuttling back and forth between St. George and Ft. Collins. Both have very nice LDS temples! Any word on him being in custody yet?

I'd actually reconsider having just a little respect for the man IF? he were to decide to do what some here have suggested he might choose to do. Even more so at a place consistent with his own stated beliefs. What's wrong with my position on the matter? Absolutely nothing.

How else could he really repent and pay for his dirty deeds? And how can anyone really come to his defense at this point? He is a disgrace to himself, to his children, to his religion, to his chosen profession, to his own life legacy. Game over.

2:43– there is nothing wrong with you having respect for whatever your warped brain respects. Nobody cares about earning the respect of such a twisted individual. There is ALOT wrong with encouraging the death of an individual over money. Because the ethical line between "It is OK to encourage him to kill himself for what he has done" and "It is OK to encourage someone else to kill him for what he has done" is a slippery slope. His case is horrible and indefensible but does not merit the death of the man.

@2:51- Restitution and remorse would be a path to repentence. Suicide would neither be payment for dirty deeds or repentence. He is a disgrace; however his life is not and need not be over, contrary to your lust for blood and further salaciousness.

@ 2:48 , No doubt on "suicide watch" at CCDC! for his own real protection I'm sure because he wouldn't last two nights in a general pop pod! The guys in the blue suit jackets manning the entry doors at the regions LDS Temples can now relax and not be on the lookout for a suicidal Elder of the Church!

2:55? Restitution? Are you serious? In what time frame? Remorse? This guy carried on this thievery for years! I say good riddance as well. There is no place in society or the legal profession for this type of asshole. Let him rot away his remaining mortal existence in prison. A gift to him from the tolerant and graceful taxpayers.

3:05– I have no beef with your assertion that he can rot in jail and have years to think about the money he stole. Make him hurt. Make him pay. That is VERY different than wishing, and encouraging, death for Graham.

The rumor is that Jesse Walsh is retiring/resigning. The rumor says she's leaving the bench to care for her mother, who is ill. The rumor also says that no announcement has been made and her staff is not confirming anything. So we must wait and see.

The Commission on Judicial Selection is meeting tomorrow. One of the agenda items deals with the vacancies in Dept. 10 and Dept. 18 – that sounds pretty official to me, though it is very odd that this has been kept so quiet. http://nvcourts.gov/AOC/Committees_and_Commissions/Judicial_Selection/Documents/Meeting_Agendas/January_5,_2017_Meeting_Notice_and_Agenda/

If by 'corporate drop box' they mean the cloud service 'Dropbox' then those deleted files can be recovered. Dropbox support can actually undo certain 'transactions'. If someone accidentally deletes a large number of files you can login to the Dropbox website, list the events, and call Dropbox support and ask them to unwind the event described as 'XYZ at 1:23 on 1/23/16' and they can reverse it and everything comes back.

What gets me the most about this Graham situation is that there must have been any number of former "partners" associates, and potentially others who smelled a rat here and failed to act, or were ignored if they did. There is much more of this story waiting to be told I think.

I'm not cheering for or encouraging the guy to kill himself but I'm ambivalent about whether he does that or rots in jail. Transferring the expensive house intro the wife's name when shit started to go down then the ridiculous interview and affidavit where he seems to feel sorry for himself and claims aw shucks, he was just an inept businessman (while ignoring the fact not a penny of that money should ever have been touched by him) – sorry, I don't have sympathy for him. It's not "just money." I'd be willing to bet the loss of that "mere money" was profoundly life-changing for many people and he gave a big middle finger to their losses of family members, (allegedly) stealing the money that came into his trust because of the deaths of their family members. So no, I really don't mind if he kills himself.

Look this was not a one-time tip into the Trust Account. The allegations (and even Graham's own statements amazingly) paint a picture of him doing his over years and years. Lots of people knew and likely were lulled by promises of that "I am going to clean it up." This money was indubitably the legacy of many families, was needed for care and comfort of family members and had profound impact on many people. But for people to say I hope he ends up dead…. Yeah perspective people.

Let's not rule out the following formula for restitution:

RG writes a book about how this all happened…even an ebook (ZERO cost).

RG sells movie rights, since this is likely an interesting story.

RG Pays everyone back with interest, and sends his tithe to LDS.

Could this be the best possible outcome? And he could even do it behind bars!

There is no way no else was not complicit with Graham. I also have a hard time believing his LDS church had no idea what was going on. I love it that they said it would return funds if it was "proven" to be money from the embezzlement. I know there are decent LDS people, but I would be embarrassed.
