Those poor victims. I remember when he was practicing here in Vegas. He actually did quite a bit of good work cleaning up the guardianship scandal. That doesn’t matter now. I hope his victims can gain a sense of peace and normalcy.
Scumbag.
Understatement.
“The victim’s mother said that she lives in constant fear for her and her child’s safety, and said that Woodrum physically abused her for 19 years before she finally asked for help. She said he strangled her into unconsciousness on a number of occasions.” This makes me sick.
Was the victim his stepchild or a girlfriend’s child?
Neither
The cycle of emotional and physical abuse is absolutely debilitating, and involves avalanches of shame. It’s going to take a long time for this person to recover. God speed.
Domestic violence is psychologically complex and yet prevalent-even in the professional class.
Domestic violence is torture.
Way to go Boyd Law. 🤮
Will he have to :self-report” to the Bar or will the Bar figure it out on its own?
Boydians are going to have to come to terms with the fact that some men went to law school to learn how to get away with stuff.
Because no other law school has ever had among its ranks those who have gone on to commit crimes?
Boyd doesn’t kick out or otherwise discipline problematic men. This is well documented. Perhaps they need the tuition money?
I’ve been following this. Does no one actually know Adam? I know Adam. Very odd guy and this is definitely far from one of those “can’t picture him doing it” takes. In fact looking back it is no surprise at all.
I only interacted with him professionally, but yes, there was always something off about that guy.

She’s got my vote.
Public commentor during the commissioners meeting on the new courthouse called out multiple judges for absolute failure to do their basic jobs. Called them out by name. It’s in the county commissioners website and it’s worth listening to.
Link?
Try google. Clark county commissioner public hearing. Last week.
Are you sending people on a wild goose chase to look for something that doesn’t exist?

Zero lies detected. There are very few judges that work a full week and it’s been like that for at least 30 years. No one tells on them and they for sure don’t tell on one another. It’s a ridiculously easy job with lots of time off and almost no accountability. For a judge to lose his or her job, he or she has to be Halverson bad. Think about that.
Agreed, but could have done without the condescending “we’re a republic, not a democracy” rhetorical game. I honestly want to punch people in the mouth who pull that pedantic shit.
I suppose if our local governments acted like it, they would not need to be condescended to in such manner.
Why such heartburn over a relevant (hardly pedantic) fact such as this?
In my experience, only the most simple-minded use that phrase. It’s never relevant.
Yes, and the condescension that comes with the presentation is one of the most potent examples of Dunning Kruger. “Bitch, unlike you, I have a law degree and am well read, you think I don’t know what a Republic is?”
These people watch some Fox News and read some memes from the conservative media silo and they are ready to correct everyone who they think is misusing the word democracy.
Except that it is the entirety of the left and its mainstream media.
This point might be the single most important public realization to come out of C19 and the Trump admins.
I am sorry that you hate truth and facts. But cry harder . . . . , bitch.
The actual truthful fact is that the United States is a representative democracy.
Not that anyone believes 10:27 cares about truth or facts.
That is because you hate the truth. . . it’s always relevant.
Are you going to claim my dog isn’t a dog, she’s a cocker spaniel next?
I’m guessing you’ve used the phrase “we’re not a democracy, we’re a republic” in an unironic tone before. Please see my previous comment at 9:49.
At least some of that is WILDLY inaccurate and out of context.
Sounds like a bunch of made-up drama by a disgruntled employee.
Which parts?
The part where she says she learned this from an 8th Judicial District employee.
She didn’t even call out the right judges. I’ve had one judge for the last 3 years never show up in court, consistently turn motions into in-chambers hearings, fail to rule on them for months, and generally prejudice all parties by the poorly written minute orders issued with no supporting record. This department doesn’t even sign stipulations in a timely manner.
Well the public commenter identifies herself as the Director of Political Affairs for Veterans in Politics.
She represents a group with political goals, so the judges she called out—correctly or otherwise—were probably chosen with a political purpose.
That group’s sole political goal is to maintain its own relevance.
You can call Department 28 out by name.
I hear anti-Israel sentiment is frowned upon.
Craig, Leavitt, Newberry, Bluth were mentioned.
so two of the most competent civil judges were mentioned… sounds like a super reliable and unbiased source providing this information.
The public commenter made a big deal about some judges not having a civil calendar. Yeah, that’s the point. They are better off with criminal dockets. Just like some civil judges choose not to have criminal calendars and do only civil.
