Thank you for posting these reminders. Holidays can be very hard times for people who have experienced loss or who are prone to depression and substance abuse.
Law is inherently depressing. We see people at their worst all the time. Volunteering can help but I think outside the legal field is more fulfilling. Pro bono can be as soul crushing as regular practice but without the compensation. Need a good mix.
Agreed. Too often, lawyering is a balance of soul crushing and very soul crushing. Find something that makes you personally happy. Do it frequently.
