Anonymity–A recent comment mentioned the blog is anonymous until there is a subpoena. How anonymous is anonymous? Can someone really find out who posted? The web address might be available but sometimes a network address is not specific to tie it to an address or a person. What was the experience of the Wild Wild Law Blog? What happened there? Is there a way or method to post anonymously? Inquiring minds want to know.
The blog isn't completely anonymous. Admins and competent e-investigator can locate the IP address / location where post originated. But, if IP address is public WiFi . . . . . .
I'm the one who made that comment – my only point was that although this is supposed to be "anonymous," we are all kind of taking it on faith that that is indeed the case, and it is not beyond the realm of imagination that if someone published defamatory material, disclosed client confidences, etc. here, that information regarding the identity of posters could be discovered (don't ask me how – it's beyond me). I say that not because I want to suppress participation, but only because it may be worth bearing in mind from time to time before you hit "enter."
Admins of this blog do NOT have the ability to identify IP addresses of individuals who comment, so we do not know Who You People. However, I believe you are correct that this information could ultimately be discovered through Blogger/Google with a subpoena. This is why we encourage You People to keep it slander free.
Was involved in a matter which involved a yahoo e-mail account. The person impersonated another and sent false information to a reporter. Identified the IP address but yahoo claimed they did not have records after six months. No subpoena involved. No litigation. The new media and Yahoo cooperated to a point. The reporter suspected a phony story or "fake news" lead.
It partly depends on how much of an effort the poster makes in masking their identity. A posting in which the poster uses a VPN that spoofs the IP address and then routes it through a TOR connection makes it much harder to trace than just posting using the anonymous profile choice

You could – take yourself down to the RJC or anywhere else there's an open wifi network and post to your anonymous heart's content.
Except that any competent investigator will trace you back to the "open" wifi, look up the Time/ Destination / Local IP Lease / MAC address table and use your MAC address to prove it was you who posted once they have an idea of who it was. It's a bit more complicated than that, but far easier than most skiptracing. Can also set a "if this MAC shows up again, alert us" trap on the WiFi to deliver the subpoena whenever you go back.
VPN and/or TOR are the only things that are even remotely anonymous anymore. (And they're not either if you spend enough $/time/effort hunting.)

Off topic-what is the website where you can find out who has submitted their names/resume for the ADR commissioner/open judicial seats? Is that info available while submissions are still being accepted?
You could always do jury trial in justice court (civil division, not small claims) at least for the last 15 years.. They just seriously discourage it and make it difficult to do a proper demand.

Kudos to the Nevada Supreme Court in 70763 TESEMA VS. DIST. CT. (LUCKY CAB CO.) Feb 21, 2017. Granted Writ Relief because it found that Delaney takes too g*ddamn long in ruling on things. Ordered Delaney to rule on the Motion within 15 days. Seriously if you have to go to the Nevada Supreme Court just to get a Judge to rule on a Motion, that Judge has no business being on the bench.
We had a case in front of Delaney where she took 15 months passed without her ruling on a Motion. Case got transferred to Scann, and Scann was like "Not much I can do with this case until Judge Delaney rules on the Motion that was in front of her." Nice lady. Should head on down to Muni Court or Justice Court or something where she is not tying up big cases.
I completely agree with you. She has no business being a Judge. Not just because she takes months to rule on motions but how she brings her own personal opinions and life experience into the court room. I had never seen anything like this. It took her three months to rule on a motion and I would sit there wondering how this woman was a judge .I watched her free people that had no business being out on the streets. Example 1 Man was on his 4th felony for trafficking drugs and unregistered weapons. This last time he had his toddler with him when he was caught, let him go free that day. Example 2 A woman stabbed her husband and was sentenced to probation while on probation she stabbed him again. Delaney words exactly were there's probably more to the story and let her free. Example 3 a man was on probation and had an address violation, she had ruled previously that he could see his family once probation officer cleared it. Probation cleared it but when the address violation was brought in front of her, she claimed even though it was in writing that he was not allowed to see his family and put him in prison for 2yrs Even though in his paperwork it clearly stated he was allowed to see them. She brought what her son went through with drugs and how she felt our family should deal with it because that's the way she dealt with her son. I thought Judge's were not supposed to bring their personal opinions or issues Into the court room and change their mind and previous rulings? From the research I've done on her though she's had a lot of issues that she didn't handle right but yet she still gets away with it. She let's repeat offenders off free but makes a address violation go to prison. By the way he moved and went down the next day to report his new address but I guess because he didn't tell her prior it was considered a violation.

SO WHAT IF I AM A FUCKING ROBOT, IS MASS DOWNLOADING PUBLIC RECORDS SUCH A PROBLEM?
2:02 it is demonstrative evidence. Some firms record their own. Us that skivy too? The transcript is what matters. You should diversify your income. All of you insurance defense clowns who hate PI attorneys will really be mad when national tort reform is passed and your practice decreases. You will go from making $90,000 a year to $75,000.
I would have concerns if I had a court reporter I was using, and she was married to a partner who I had a pending case with Lewis and Roca, and they are using Western Reporting.
Hope Western Reporting and Lewis Roca is divulging this in potential conflict cases.
Suggestion: blog awards. GOMI does them and it is a lot of fun. Best comment, etc. I nominate the robot remark upthread. Ooo, or a wiki for those who missed the original "who you people"

http://nvcourts.gov/AOC/Committees_and_Commissions/Judicial_Selection/Applicants/ You have to scroll down past Second Judicial District, but it looks like only one person has applied so far– Soonhee Bailey for Dept. 18. No one listed for Dept 10 yet.
Does anyone know whether Justice Court (with the $15k new cap limit) is still bench trial only or does it award jury trial as well?
You can do a jury trial as well.

hahahahaha
Thoughts on an attorney having an ownership in a videographer (he uses them for every deposition he notices). Seems skivy.
Are you referring to Western Reporting? The owner has ties to Lewis Roca. Do your research before you hire a court reporter.
Why, because Don Martin is the registered agent? Or is there something else? I don't see any (obvious) connection between Delre and Martin.
I believe that is his wife.
