I've never had one of those jobs, and most likely never will. But my impression is that you're walking around with a big bullseye painted on your back, and aren't likely to last more than a couple of years. Plus it ain't exactly 9-5 either. The salary had better be damned good.
What we do as attorneys is not really, truly understood by most lay people. What high end attorneys do at the very top of corporate America is barely understood by a handful of sophisticated businessmen, tops. If Caesars pulls off the savage rape and pillage of its lenders, there should be bonuses flowing like an open fire hydrant.

A person of that stature would be drawing at least $500K at medium sized firm, probably close to $1 mil. at national firms.
If they really need him, a 200K bonus is not a big deal.

Get over yourself already.
If I was at Caesars, this painting would hang in my office. All the creditors on the floor waiting for the inevitable.
