I would like to nominate Grizzly Adams… I mean Nathan Morris, for "creepy hipster beard of the year." Yikes, who does that on purpose?

10:40, you should see Nathan Morris without the beard…he looks like that comic book guy from The Simpsons..which in my opinion is way more creepy than "creepy hipster beard/grizzly adams"

What ever happened to Charles Pollock, who was partnered with Pamela McKay. That guy was a freak with a beard.

I love the female on the right. Her face says, "Oh, $hit, I am having a hard time walking and acting interested in this dude's fake conversation. Plus, keeping my arms out like this is harder than I thought."

lol 3:50 that is pretty spot on. what is the worst though is that two (possibly 3) people in the picture have their eyes closed even though they are supposed to look like they are talking to each other. I dont understand how you are going to spend all that money for a fancy website and take it to shit with one half assed photo

Nah, she's looking at the firm's logo, and thinking, "Am I really employed at a law firm whose logo is 2 rutting sheep, fighting over who gets to screw ewe?"

Looks like the big national firms are raising lawyer salaries. Any chance in hell this raises the tide in Vegas?

No. 90% of new attorneys' in Vegas do not work for big (or biggish) firms.

And there's no clue whether the biggish firms in Vegas would follow the lead of big firms in other cities. Still, a guy can hope.

That marijuana editorial is dumb. I don't even smoke the mary jane and think that article is a buncha quack. No cites or references to sources, just throws out all these big numbers in an effort to scare people. I like how it focuses on the harm it will cause others, when NV clearly lets cigarette smoke all up in the public sphere. I feel a 5th grader could write a better, and more credible, article why maryjuane legitimately isnt good for NV…but this RJ article is not it!

The best argument against legalizing recreational use is the Colorado experience. Folks hate it in Colorado. It will be harder to reverse than it is to enact. There are so many problems with it. The druggie tourism Colorado gets it does not want.

It seems pretty split 50/50 unless you have a better source than my quick google search. Also, as nearby states legalize and regulate the tourism will subside.

The worst argument against legalizing recreational use is the Colorado experience where tax revenues outstrip liquor. The folks who hate it in Colorado were the folks who hated it before it was passed. The folks who love it are generally the people who loved it before it passed and those who are revenue-centric. The people who were on the fence have largely not seen the needle move much.

And they missed the most important reasons to keep pot illegal: widespread access to weed correlates with increased welfare roles, applications for Section 8 housing, applications for food stamps, applications for Social Security disability benefits, applications for Medicaid, and bankruptcy filings.

Ms. Adelson is a huge advocate against legalization as she believes it is a gateway drug. Whether you like Adelson or not, his wife still hands out methadone at her clinics at least once a week. They will put up a ton of money to stop the legalization. So far they have not had to put up much as there is not being any money spent on it by pro legalization groups.

Speaking of weird firm photos…there's a local firm that advertises heavily. During group photo shoots one of the partners made the female attorney take off her shoes because she was taller than him. Totally unusable pics. "…and here's our token girl lawyer with no shoes on."

Henness and Haight. I know someone who used to work there and have heard that in photo shoots, Haight sits in a chair and Henness stands next to him to hide the fact he's 5'5". They also have their shorty male attorneys stand on "lifts" in the photographs to offset it. The smoke and mirrors isn't limited to their group shots…

They changed it a little. Now Ford is in it. It's the one where half of them are holding alcohol, 2 people have rolled up shirt sleeves revealing tattoos, and one of the female lawyers is wearing high boots. I actually don't think it's that surprising or weird even. Lionel Sawyer Collins wouldn't do it, but who gives a shit?
