Transactional law doesn’t make for a lot of headlines, but it looks like a title company in Sparks made a copy and paste mistake conveying 80 lots to a single homeowner. [RGJ]
Nevada still struggling with unemployment claims. [RJ]
Here’s a nice article about the late Stephen Stein. [RJ]
Here are some custom license plates that were rejected by the Nevada DMV. Have you ever had your custom plate rejected? [8NewsNow]
A while back I was behind a car with a UNLV license plate that read douche bag. I can't recall how they spelled it, but it was very obvious. I was somewhat surprised the DMV didn't catch it.

There was a story years ago about Dara Goldsmith being denied the license plate "Cane" as a drug reference when I think she was from University of Miami.
Walker v. Texas Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans, 576 U.S. 200 (2015), was a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court held that license plates are government speech and are consequently more easily regulated/subjected to content restrictions than private speech under the First Amendment.
If the homeowner is resistant, I would think that it would be easy to correct the deed conveying 86 lots (or however many) by a simple reformation action. It shouldn't be a big deal legally. But it would be embarrassing as all hell for the title company that screwed up!
As the homeowner, this seems like a situation where you hire a lawyer and get a nice little settlement in exchange for making the process smooth for everyone.
There is no such thing as a BFP in this situation. A review of the chain of title would raise obvious questions about this. Agree with the other comments. Just fix it and move on. Slimy to try an extract a settlement here.
Have pics of a car that had the old blue plates with "BUKAKE" that, a few weeks later, said "BANNED."

I don't get it, I literally saw (and took a picture of) a plate the other day that was "IEATASS" How was that allowed?
Went and looked at the picture, it was a Florida plate. Makes sense.
Some states, like California, have held that restricting the content of vanity license plates is a violation of free speech rights.
Yeah….but….
California.

Let's see 7 letter limit. DUCHEBG or DUCHBAG.
UNLV plates have 5 character limits.

Cool, you just made my funner at cocktail parties

And that's why people hate lawyers. Why is just signing to fix a clear clerical issue not the first option?
The homeowner wouldn't hate lawyers.
Just give em a $20k haircut off the purchase of their house and call it a day.
Dude should have sold them to a BFP. Done deal. Title Insurance pays.
BFP? What is that?

Cause shaking down auto insurance companies for padded medical specials is so much more ethical.
Capitalizing on another mistake. Two sides of the same coin.
Cause insurance defense attorneys are so ethical and love to make somebody whole in an auto accident…
I laugh. Our Nevada Court of Appeals has no idea how to handle quiet title actions

There is an infinite internet to post this stuff. And yet you do it here. *Sigh*
Not 2:02 but is he/she/it supposed to sterilize their thoughts for you 3:14? If you don't want to read it, move on. And by the way – LGB!
