a grocery bag?!
That article is a pretty damning indictment of Metro and the DA. They cannot expect us to believe that COVID caused a 5 year delay in arresting a serial rapist. And what’s up with the DA pleading men who rape little girls down to attempted? There was no “attempted.” I guess little girls getting raped is not as important as writing speeding tickets, unlawfully detaining people, and suborning perjury.
Metro’s first priority will always be Metro. Metro’s second priority is to find a way to do the least amount of work possible, in the same way that water finds the path of least resistance.
Just like every other government bureaucracy on the planet.
Break it up! Just like CCSD . . . . . .
The whole “government bad” argument is tiresome. There are certain governmental functions that are inherently governmental and should remain so.
Pretty sure that I did not say anything that globally opposes your statement. That said, your delusion that Government is completely good, truthful and beyond reproach is likewise exhausting.
I didn’t say that. You get an F for reading comprehension.
. . . . all the other posts.
I have been in Las Vegas for a long time. A child rapist would not have faired well back in the day.
Before Metro, the Sherriff’s department (Sherriff Ralph Lamb) was bad ass. North Las Vegas cops took no shit. The Mob pretty much kept the strip under control, particularly concerning drugs and hooking. There was less politicization of the internal workings of the departments, even though the elected officials were 100% political. There were certainly favors exchanged. But overall, things ran well, businesses and citizens were safe.
Joey Gilbert taking a stray bullet in that TNI OpEd. Haha.
