Does anyone read the Boyd Briefs? A recent one basically reads: "Coming from Boyd, I figured I'd be stuck at some shitty Vegas firm. But no! I landed at a big DC firm and now I'm a law professor!" Good for him, but comes across as self important.

Lol. Well there's a difference between cocky and saying, in a publication that's only read by Boyd grads that are almost all practicing law in smaller Vegas firms, "I lucked out-I didn't have to work at a Vegas firm." It's like saying "hey bro, I used to bang your wife, but now look what I'm working with. Thank god I didn't have to end up with your life."
