That was such a weird statement by Manfred. He gives credence to the initiative as a legitimate threat. If you were the MLB Commissioner wouldn't your response be, "We are moving forward. We have widespread support in Nevada and there is an excitement and energy in Las Vegas that just isn't consistent with this poorly organized effort by a teachers union." Was this a slip up by Manfred or is there some strategic dimension I'm missing here?
John Fisher is a massive piece of shit and I would love to see this fall apart. But I think it's extremely unlikely that this will be stopped. Does Manfred know something the rest of us don't?

I dressed up as Bar Counsel. I go around kicking solos and kittens, and then go home and tell my wife I'm really important.
Culinary is asking that every employee be paid an extra two hours of overtime every day for having to deal with F1 traffic snarls. The amazing thing to me is that we managed an Indy Car race downtown in 2007 and set up and tore it down in less than a week. F1 is months of displacement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A86Cl_Fgz0

Robert and Tracy Eglet were listed as water hogs with their 13,000 plus square foot house on 1.44 acres. Not much land for that much water.
2.6 MILLION gallons of water that Eglet used. That's insane. Why are they allowed to even use that much? Why can't they shut off their water after the first million gallons?
Then they should be allotted no more than 200,000 gallons. To allow them to use millions of gallons for a private residence and then have campaigns about conserving water is ridiculous.

I don't know the Eglets, but I have to believe that when it comes to water use and public shame, zero fucks are given.
So I have a practice question that is a disagreement amongst those who I asked. Plaintiff sues Defendants A, B and C all of whom appear and answer. Plaintiff moves to amend under Rule 10 and Rule 15 to add Defendants D, E and F which is approved. No new claims against A, B and C are added. Amended Complaint filed. Do A, B and C have to answer the Amended Complaint?
It depends. Did first complaint name Doe defendants? If so, then it's just substituting and not really an amended complaint. If not, then it would invalidate prior operative complaint and require a new answer.
@10:39 – It sounds like new allegations have been added against the new defendants too. Definitely need to file an answer to the amended complaint, it is now the operative pleading.

Is something happening at the EJDC Clerk's Office? I have Summonses to be issued that are going on a week unissued. I have writs of execution that are going on three weeks sitting "Under Review" status.

Yawn.
11:46 spent all morning on that gem.
What is funny is that you think 11:46 put a lot of thought into that.
What's even funnier is that it completely ignores the actual statistics
I was really surprised to see one of the judges today have a costume on while on the bench insofar as it was not a very benign costume.
Details.
Ballou took the bench with a knife through her head
Taxis tacking on an extra $15 for F1 rides, time to completely shut down the Strip to motor vehicle traffic and run a train from Fremont to the airport every five minutes in both directions. https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/motor-sports/formula-1/taxis-to-add-surcharge-for-f1-rides-from-airport-to-resorts-2930844
F1- it's a bad joke. Don't get me started.

They have a lot of grass
I looked at it on Google Maps. It's not 13 million gallons worth of grass. How the hell do they use so much water?
A lot of evaporation in the summer with pools. Especially THAT pool.
Ya'll just jelly you didn't make it on the list.
They've also got an obscene number of water features/fountains–not just the pool.
"obscene" = poster is jealous AF.

They probably leave the water running while they brush their teeth.
Normal household uses 109,000 per year

Oh, I'm sure none of them care. They're all probably laughing and saying "Let them eat cake."
Vive la révolution
SMH.

Yes. An amended complaint invalidates the prior complaint so you need to answer it – that's my understanding
