Good Luck With That

I imagine University of California, Berkeley law school students Eric Cuellar and Justin Teixeira might find it difficult to explain to character and fitness and future potential employers, their felony charges of conspiracy and willful, malicious torture or killing of wildlife for allegedly killed a 14-year-old helmeted guinea fowl at the Flamingo hotel’s Wildlife Habitat this past Friday morning.  That, and why they then were allegedly playing catch with the dead bird’s head.

On an unrelated note, how was CPK’s party?

The bird thin is just too freakin' bizzare.

On CPK's party: it's a good thing Nevada does not have dram shop laws. When college girls puke outside a UNLV fraternity party, it's funny and kind of cute. When women in their 40's puke outside a law firm's party, it's kind of sad and disgusting.

On a note related to both topics…

It looked like a lot of attorneys and law students were going to be choking their chickens after the CPK party.

I imagine a 14-year-old chicken doesn't taste too good.

How is it that we are two days away from the start of early voting and there hasn't been a single post or comment about judicial elections? I want dirt and/or insight into the various candidates! Who would be a terrible judge? Who would be a great judge?

And by terrible/great, I obviously mean which judge will side with me more often?

9:21:
Happy to oblige, but we need more information. What is your practice area? Do you ever appear in JC or is it all DC? Med Mal, CD or just general death and destruction? Plaintiff or defense (civil)? As we all learned in school, there is an answer but “it depends.”

I'm really disappointed. It's been more than a week since we've heard a word from any of the bloggers who supposedly run this thing. I thought that suggestion to talk about the judge elections was a good one. Lots of fodder there, you'd think. Guess I was wrong.

Maybe the people that run this blog are all running in hotly contested elections.
