Hey everyone! TGIF!
Well, it’s no longer really “news,” but as some of the commenters pointed out earlier this week, 41 civil lawsuits stemming from the 07-08 Hep-C fiasco were just settled. Yes, that settlement would include the $522.4 MILLION judgment handed out in just one of those cases. I’d be interested to know the total dollar amount of that settlement..

Other than that, I’ve been scouring the interwebs for some good stuff to post, but I’ve come up empty handed. Help me out here – who’s got some good gossip or news to share?
The 40% contingency fee on the 250m pharmaceutical settlement, when added to the doctor's policy-limin malpractice settlement is . . . a lot.
Not to mention the recovery of photocopy expenses at 15 cents or so per page. A single photocopy machine on that case outbilled any associate in Las Vegas.
I rarely appear in BK court (maybe once every 2 years), but in BK court the other day not only did I witness the oft discussed and derided Troy Fox at the podium, but I also saw what may have been the BK hottie walk to the podium and back.

No word on JV in Las Vegas–although rumors have circulated for a long time. Details?
