Today we turn the spotlight on the law firm of Marquis Aurbach Coffing. Founded in 1979, MAC’s practice areas include litigation; real estate; construction law; business transactions; business law; and, asset protection, among others. MAC has over 35 lawyers at one location in Summerlin. MAC often pops up in comments on this blog about pay, perks, and associate satisfaction. (We’ll let you debate that below.) One thing that really sets MAC apart from the rest is the fact that they have a chef who prepares lunch daily. Does your firm have that? Also, they have a sense of humor as evidenced by the following picture they have on their site.
Here’s your chance to talk about MAC. Are they still keeping associates happy? Are their associates lawyer-hot? Do you wish you worked there? Anything else the public should know about them?
I am but a young attorney, but have enjoyed having MAC attorneys as opposing counsel. Very professional, very competent.
Blakenship is at least lawyer hot.
Good firm that's become slightly top-heavy in recent years. Law firms need to operate like the Mafia. Once the organization starts to have more capos than soldiers, bad things start to happen. The pyramid must maintain its broad base. So unless a lot of the people MAC is calling "partner" are really only glorified associates, look for a migration in the next few years.
All that said, the chef thing is very cool and the firm does tend to hire better-than-average-looking female associates.
They had multiple attorneys listed in Superlawyers, if that counts for something.
I think one of the under-appreciated perks of working for MAC is the TICKLE FIGHTS! As evidenced by that photo. Is that an every Friday afternoon tradition?
who can explain their compensation program? some say bonuses are great, others say that after 1800 or 1900 hours, you basically make another $10 for every hour you bill (which sounds terrible to me since I made $10 an hour at my first job when I was 16).
They pay $10 an hour after 2000. The revenue bonuses are more significant if you hit the $300K target.
Brian Blankenship is the best looking male attorney in town. I would refer all of my clients to him for his skill and insane good looks.
Thanks mom!
Love, Brian
The author of this blog and the preceding blog must have some kind of a hard on for MAC. It's constant ass kissing of that firm. What's your connection and why do you care so much what others think?
blog is dead
Recently interviewed with MAC. I have 5 years experience and they wanted to start me at $90K! Claimed they have a great bonus for business you bring in/hours in excess of 2000. Wasn't impressed.

Thanks for your reply Lombino. As I always say, the best way to get referrals is to submit incoherent messages on a 7 year old anonymous blog post.
Some one presumably paid for this spam garbage.
Link has a 404 error. LOL. Also, Lombino, I've done quite a bit of studying SEO and law sites. I get quite a bit of work from the web. These astroturf backlinks were a gimmick that kind of worked 10-15 years ago. Now, Google punishes you for them. FYI. Good luck!
What in the malarkey is a law studio?
Dear internet spam bot. I'll pay you $25 to do spam bot message for my law studio.
Thank you Mr. Lombino for reviving this post. If nothing else, it made me look up Brian Blankenship.. apparently he's at claggett & Sykes now but… yep, still hot!
