Does Dept. 1 not have a primary?

Don't have all that much experience with Scotti other than in a settlement conference in which he was completely ineffectual. From what I know of him, I'd like to vote for someone else, but I have no idea who these other people are.

Mediating a settlement conference and being a decision-making judge are two different skill sets. I've seen few judges over the years who can perform in both roles at a high level. (Judge Delaney is the only one who comes to mind in the Clark County District Court, although there could be others whose mad skillz in either area I just haven't yet seen.) So I wouldn't use that as my only metric.

I would also like to vote for someone other than Scotti. However not either of these 2 individuals. So Scotti it is.

Scotti needs to be replaced. Any idea which of these two I should vote for?

Scotti has more legal experience then both of his opponents combined and he has experience with complex legal matters from when he was practicing law. Add to that that he actually reads everything that comes before him, well, he's got my vote. So what if he got pissed off at a juror that was clearly lying and coming up with excuses to get out of jury duty AFTER she had all ready been through voire dire and said she COULD be objective.

It was more than the juror. Scotti had a REALLY rough patch on the bench, a confluence of factors personally and professionally that made retention (heck made running) a long shot. With that said, he has gotten much better and is clearly better than these 2 opponents.

Agreed, but in my opinion he is by far the best choice. And he has gotten much better. Who among us has not had rough patches? I know I have, both personally and professionally, and Thank God they have not been open for public discussion.I learned from my mistakes, as we all do, and have moved on.

If Scotti reads everything, and still issues some of the decisions I have seen from him, then he needs to be removed immediately. He clearly doesn't know what he is doing. Some of the worst decisions I have seen from any judge have come from him.

Both of Scotti's opponents are lightweights. Scotti is not perfect, but he's the best of these three.
