In LA, they’ve had a major problem with people chopping and stealing aloe leaves, often killing the plants. Count on Vegas to find an even more pathetic criminal enterprise – stealing small cacti. What massive pieces of shit. All that work to get what? $40 per plant? At that point, just go get a real job dirtbags.

I was amazed when an employee at star nursery told me once that they get a ton of shop lifting. Most all plants can be cultivated from a tiny branch that you cut off. So people will cut off a tiny piece and grow the plant from that instead of just buying it. He said old ladies were the most l likely to do this so anytime an old lady entered the yard, they watched them closely lol.

It’s true! My friend does it, but she doesn’t cut off the branches. She just picks up broken pieces off the ground and grows them into plants.

Saw the mugshots. Is someone out there bartering cacti for meth? Where does one go to fence a cactus?

No way that the DA will be ready by August 5. Telles has been outmaneuvering him masterfully and will continue to do so for the next four months. Going to trial would expose the DA as overmatched and underprepared. Over/under two weeks until the DA drops the charges or offers Telles a sweetheart deal?

Thank you Mr. Telles. I am certain the DA is terrified of a civil lawsuit.

Telles is going to crush the DA. He didn’t sell his properties to finance his defense. He sold them to bribe the crime lab to destroy the DNA evidence under German’s fingernails. Without the DNA evidence, the DA’s case is cooked. $100-$150K bribe would easily be enough get a crime lab tech to surreptitiously destroy evidence. Telles knows this.

Would that money be better spent constructing some kind of rudimentary time machine?! That way he could go back in time and kill the person who killed German thus avoiding the episode all together?!

As a Certified 1st Amendment Expert, I can opine that the 1st Amendment doesn’t have anything to do with consumer contracts.

No need for the 1st Amendment. NRS 597.996 makes contractual restrictions on consumers reviewing or commenting about products or services illegal and unenforceable. It also includes civil and criminal penalties and attorney’s fees for the consumer. Watch out for defamation but otherwise feel free to complain all you want.

And even if the defamation suit comes, the business should then beware the anti-SLAPP motion.

This is hilarious. Fat people suing because they didn’t lose weight.

I think it’s hilarious that scam artists who prey on the vulnerability and insecurities of people are getting sued. MLMs, weight loss scams, high-demand religions, etc. deserve every bad thing that happens to them.

SBF gets 25 years. Based on the financial loss tables, I am stunned that it is only 25 years. https://www.cnn.com/business/live-news/sam-bankman-fried-sentencing-03-28-24/index.html
