Anything exciting going on out there? Any more law firms collapsing?
What did you think about it? I only caught the end, but it sounds like a Boyd law student really set off the Senator who was telling her she should take a class in legislative advocacy. Sounds like she may have suggested this bill was done for personal gain as opposed to society's betterment?
I watched. I get the sense that for Ira Hansen (you know, the guy who wrote all those nutty, racist columns), that this hearing was perfunctory, which leads me to believe that Steve Wynn's bidding will be done. I thought the witnesses against SB444 were thoughtful and articulate. It was great to see a rep from the movie industry there as well.
@2:10 – I cringed when she was chastised – I think there was a lot of condescension going on in Carson. The way the speaker for the bill addressed the assemblyman from the law school and the way the chair addressed the student from Boyd speaking in opposition. I don't think it was ad hominem as he said and even so, what was she to think after the hour of discussion prior? Inconsistent enforcement, I think. Then again, as I think about it, all she implied was something negative about the committee if they supported the bill and maybe that is what got their goat.

Wow 9:29…. If you are a NV attorney, you passed the same bar exam as he did. And based on your comment, you just might want to look in a mirror.
@10:36: What is your point? Kutner sues people who say unkind things about him. Thin skinned public figures like him are not well liked by people like 9:29. So, 9:29 chooses to employ foul language to hammer home the message. Done. What will looking in a mirror do? Or is it a mirror laying flat on the table and it's a bachelor party. In which case, invite me!

Another shitty case accepted by Brent Bryson. At least he is predictable.
Civil Rights litigation is a joke. If this gal were my daughter, what the cop did to her would pale in comparison to what I would do to her. It does not bode well for civilization that such thuggish behavior can result in anything but a firm societal rebuke, delivered at the end of a cop's bill club, if necessary. When cops trying to keep the peace become the enemy, and the thugs breaking the peace become the Sec. 1984 millionaires, we are doomed.

I would like to thank the collapsing firms for the great deals on office furniture.
Where is all this awesome furniture? I'm in the process of setting up my own shop so I want to see what's out there at what prices.
I know Nellis Auction had some recently for the Lionel Sawyer break-up. Unfortunately, I missed that.

The best place to practice law is in Nevada you can lie in pleadings, fail to comply with court orders, and file worthless lawsuits to harass people. The State Bar will not stop you and the judges and Nevada Supreme Court will protect you see Appeal 62390 it's a good example how you can be assured you will not get disbarred way to go Kazel congratulations they did not pull your license to practice law

I know both attorney's the facts are Kazel made up a false assault charge against the pro per guy and then claimed the other lawyer stood there and did nothing to stop it. Kazel made up the story never happened. Kazel client was not even there
Fuck you, Kutner
You can expect a lawsuit, sir, as soon as SB444 passes!
Anyone listening to the SB444 hearing?
I was!

Just to be clear, his columns were only racist if you use the new meaning of the word, as in "telling the truth as it is."
But don't let my defense of the guy fool you, I think SB444 is an abomination.
