Above the Law has a piece up on US Supreme Court Clerks getting $300,000 “signing bonuses” when they start at firms. Did any of you clerk and get a signing bonus for having done so?
A federal court clerkship might get someone a decent job here, but probably not a signing bonus. Has there ever even been a USSC clerk who has later practiced in Vegas? I'd venture a guess that when someone of that pedigree takes a private practice position, it's rarely, if ever, in a legal outpost like Las Vegas.
Received a $5,000.00 signing bonus for clerking for the Supreme Court of Nevada. Nothing significant, but appreciated the gesture and willingness to pay such bonus.
