Let's see if the NSC is as deferential to a grant of Post Conviction relief as they are to a denial

How is elana graham a four year lawyer the new president of the bar? Second, who paid for this civility task force survey? And why are we changing the oath to include we have to be civil to the general public? Can the entire membership vote on these issues? The bar is becoming ridiculous with a bunch of busy bodies.

It's not the Elana Graham you're thinking of.

Elana Graham is the mother of Elana Graham. Elana Graham, the incoming president of the State Bar is a long time lawyer and is one of the most hardworking people I know.

Christy Craig is a good attorney. I am surprised by this…

A post conviction grant doesn't mean she and Scott Coffee aren't good attorneys, only that there's merit to the argument that defense attorneys, like all humans, make mistakes. Any defense lawyer worth anything would be thrilled that a client gets another shot, and I'm sure Christy and Scott feel exactly that.

I am definitely going to follow the advice of Dick Cheney. Why didn't he endorse Hutchinson?

IMHO, Lefebvre's article was right on the money, no matter where you come down on the whole gay, bisexual, transexual, trisexual, LGBT, BLT (yeah, the sandwich) thing. The AG should do the job she was elected to do. If she does not agree with the state constitutional law and will not enforce it, she should show her indignation by resigning – not failing to do the job she was elected to do.

The question is whether a ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional. If it is, then the AG cannot enforce it. I support gay marriage, and I think our law is garbage, but I just don't know of authority that would support the conclusion that a gay marriage ban is unconstitutional. I see Masto's move as purely political, which I don't like. On the other hand, the law has to go.

Civility, really? I think my agreements will include a condition that all rude clients will be summarily jettisoned.
