11:55-one of these days one of those two might get lucky.

Run enough times and you can catch lightening in a bottle. It's happened before. The public pays almost zero attention to judicial races, so name recognition can carry the day.

Las Vegas has grown. It is time for building satellite courts, one south east, Henderson ish; and one west, Summerlin ish.

BlueJeans is more cost effective than satellite courts.

Interesting reprimand from Nevada Supreme Court against Robert Draskovich (82457). Client savages him anonymously on AVVO. Draskovich responds that he knows who the client is and discloses client's name, case number, specific facts about the criminal charges against the client, and numerous details related to his representation of the client.

Avvo sucks. I got a negative review one time from a person who admitted in their review that I had never represented them or even talked to them. I tried to argue with Avvo and their response was to tell me to tell my other clients to leave good reviews to boost my score. After several weeks of emails, they finally removed it.

It sucks that we have no choice as to whether or not we get put on those dumb sites and then it's always the miserable clients who will NEVER be happy who go leave the reviews.

I have dealt with some negative reviews from non-clients (usually the opposing party) and a couple of clients. There have been other attorneys in other states similarly reprimanded. It's best not to respond at all, avoiding the potential for what's happened here.

Lmfao, attorneys violate attorney client privilege all the time. Cannot believe bar actually did something.

How about this rule: if a client chooses to make a "public" declaration (in lieu of a bar complaint) regarding a matter in which he was represented by an attorney, that attorney may discuss details of the case in response. The client effectively waives his right to privilege by talking about it in a public forum. But that disclaimer everywhere.

Today's Parsons v. Colt Mfr'g decision and Justice Pickering's plea at the end of it. Discuss.

Fascinating reading. However imploring the Legislature to act when the Legislature did act seemed not necessary.

I think the DEBIPARSHAD decision addressing Judge Bare lavishing love on Jimmerson was also fascinating.

I noticed at least one anti-gun liberal big-firm partner representing one of the gun manufacturers and retailers. That must've been fun.

The state of the judiciary in this country is scary, US Supreme Court and the federal courts. It is becoming a real hell hole real fast. This is scarier than Trump. Roe v. Wade is going bye bye. Sleep well asshats.

Agreed, OP. Activist prosecutors, as we saw in Kenosha and as we see in San Fran and other Soros-backed DAs; abortionists, like Sotomayor; and the David Hogg-group of judges elected to the 8th judicial district court, make me question whether the future of our judiciary will morph into purely political punishment.

How did the kid from Parkland end up with an entire slate of judges?

(That awkward moment when all of the boogymen start to blend together).

Emerge Nevada. You must be a registered Democrat and they train you to infiltrate, I mean, run for office. The Parkland guy has some connection or so I heard.

Wait. People can bash Presidents on this page? I mean, is it only okay to bash Trump? Just curious if this page allows for both sides of an argument. Asking for a friend.

Go look at the slate of candidates on the site noted by @7:14. Looks to me like they did pretty well only missing 1 seat on the criminal bench.

70 hours of training (indoctrination). That's not suspect at all. Where is James O'Keefe when you need him?

The State of our Judiciary is under the thumb of C.J. Hardesty and his bullying bull that he has inflicted on this state. The damage is incalculable. I hope former Judge Gonzalez runs for Hardesty's seat and takes it due to her disdain for Ungentlemanly Jim.

Does the Review Journal still have a "judging the judges" write up? Do judges ever get scrutinized for the amount of hours they work? As a California transplant, it always blows my mind how little time the judges in this jurisdiction work, particularly Muni and JC. The lack of oversight is likely to blame, but I wonder how much of an impact more publicized scrutiny would have.

The LVRJ does it every other year, I think, timed to elections. Might be better in run up to elections but that's how they do it.

I believe the work more than they used to. There was a write up years ago in the RJ were they photographed one of them at home working on his garden like at 11 am on a Wednesday instead of working and he took a lot of criticism for it. Toa got caught sitting in his car to pick up his kids a bit ago too. He is a work horse from what I understand so he was probably reading briefs while sitting there, but he still got criticized for it. Now that they know people pay attention to that stuff, they seem to be more careful haha.
