“I think she thinks that it’s in her best interest to have another point of view in regards to the sentencing portion,” Sanft told the Review-Journal.
Not saying anything Sanft said was wrong, but I would just keep my mouth shut entirely. Obviously, there was a difference of opinion as to how to approach the sentencing hearing. Fiore is going against whatever advice Sanft gave, which she probably ought to heed.
Let’s watch and see who is appoited to assume Fiore’s seat on the Nye County Justice Court bench. Any guesses? Any Idea whose bright idea it was to appoint Fiore to that position in the first place?

What are the constitutional issues as to the arrest/search? It’s a security checkpoint. The car isn’t registered. Far as I’m concerned, they could have towed it out and inventoried it later.
While Trump bragged (and continues to brag) about having the biggest and strongest US military ever when he was President. I’m not apologist for the RJ or its ownership, but the paper was right wing before the Adelsons purchased it. That editorial would have run in some iteration whether or not the Adelsons owned it. Now that the Adelsons don’t have a casino in Las Vegas, it will be interesting to see how long they hold on to the RJ. Newspaper ownership seems to be a thing for some billionaires. If and when the Adelsons sell, it will be interesting to see the buyers identity.
