I can get a dime bag of weed and 40 gummies delivered to my house.

I can't get a pitcher of margarita's + properly salted glasses delivered.

Making margarita's is easy. I am doing it this afternoon. I couldn't make gummies myself. Here is a simple recipe for all of you at home with time and tequila on your hands this beautiful Friday:

1 part orange liquor (use something like Cointreau if you have it) 2 parts lime juice, 3 parts tequila. Sugar to taste, maybe 1/2 to 1 part if you want it. Use good tequila. Doesn't need to be great, but probably worth spending $25-$30 a bottle. I like Espalon and Milagro, and I prefer reposado tequila for margaritas. Shake with ice, pour over ice.

Also best to make in quantity up front because squeezing limes and measuring ingredients starts to become a pain around number 5.

Also, if you don't have a rimmer to salt your glasses, cut a lime wedge like you would to garnish a glass, run it around two or three times, and then stick it straight down into a plate with a big pile of Kosher salt on it.

How does delivery work? I call it in and then give some delivery driver a wad of cash? Or can I order online like a pizza? God bless weed.

12:49 – pretty much.

I placed my order online, upload a pic of ID, got text updates including when the driver was headed to my house. Met the driver outside, gave them cash for weed+tip and was good to go.

Literally as easy as a pizza

It's all fun and games until the craving for doritos goes one puff too far and triggers acute paranoia. Am I the only one that knows that the second shooter on the grassy knoll was an animatronic robot being remotely controlled across the street by a little person in a stroller smoking a Cuban cigar, who was never seen again?…and there is a lady on the sidewalk outside my house right now pushing a stroller. Hurry up Dominos!

Do you know anyone who has actually received the ~$10k EIDL deposit? I applied for the EIDL yesterday afternoon ~1pm and the PPP this morning ~10am. Chase bank, though, only has you submit basic info (tax ID, company name, contact info) and they say they'll contact you for the application and more info. I'm helping a few clients of mine apply as well – some owe me some money so hopefully this helps them survive and they can pay their bill!

EIDL – it is up to 10K – no I don't know anyone that has received anything, including my clients who applied on Monday.

PPP – BofA will only take their own clients – directly from their web site:
Small Business clients with a business lending and a business deposit relationship at Bank of America are eligible to apply for a Paycheck Protection Program through our bank. A client’s pre-existing lending relationship with us may include small business, commercial or corporate credit cards, conventional business loan or lease, business lines of credit, business auto loans, practice solutions loans, trade and asset-based loans.

Small Business owners who do not have a business lending and business deposit relationship with us should contact their current business loan provider as soon as possible, if they plan to apply for the federal Paycheck Protection Program. This is the best and fastest method for applying for federal relief, based on the U.S. Treasury requirements and guidance.

Zions Bank – ONLINE APPLICATION EXPECTED TO LAUNCH LATER TODAY
We’re excited to announce that last night the Small Business Administration (SBA) finalized program details for the Paycheck Protection Program. We’re putting the finishing touches on our online application and expect to begin accepting applications later today.

Watch for real time updates to our zionsbank.com/cares website when the application is available. We will also send a notification email to all business banking clients for whom we have an email.

At Zions Bank we’ve got your back, and your future.

Kirkwood Bank – SBA PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM UPDATE: We are continuing to receive guidance from the US Treasury and SBA. As a result, Kirkwood Bank of Nevada will not be able to start accepting applications on Friday, April 3rd. When we are able to take applications, we will post on our website how to submit applications.

Chase Bank – You’ll need to meet this criteria:

You have an existing Chase Business checking account that’s been active since February 15, 2020.
You’re authorized to borrow on behalf of the business.
You haven’t already received a Paycheck Protection Program loan from Chase and you haven’t applied for one from another financial institution.
The minimum loan amount is $1,000, and the maximum amount is determined based primarily on your payroll-related costs, but cannot exceed $10 million. This amount may be reduced based on loans to your affiliated companies.
You should have available the outstanding balance of any existing Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL).
Other restriction may apply

How did you apply for the PPP without knowing the amount you were approved for / the outstanding balance? Also, for partners without employees, do we apply today, or next Friday under Self-employment?

To respond to 2:23: partially correct. (1) WF has not taken formal applications yet. Instead WF has basically had you sign up as interested if and when they do make applications available. (2) WF is seeking a lending limit increase to be able to reopen the program to other WF account holders. WF has some liquidity caps issues.

As a Court employee, I agree. Federal Court has been doing this for … years. It kills me we still require original signatures, must be submitted on paper to the dept., blah blah blah blah blah. But the runner services love it and bigger firms actually employ a person to do this, so there's that.

And a further add, jury questionnaires. You bring in 200 jurors, they fill out paper, it gets sent to the county to photocopy (despite every copier in existence now having scanning capability), get's delivered to the department, who gives it to the moving party (paper), who in turn SCANS it, and sends it to all parties. Why not do this online for the jurors who have computers, download it to a program that can be sent to the attorneys. Those who have no computers can come in, send it to the County "printers" who can SCAN the additional questionnaires to Jury Services, who can add it to those who did it online, and then … OMG … email it to the department who can … OMG … email it to the attorneys, because that's what they're going to do, scan and email it to everyone. SAVE THE TREES! And yes, I've suggested this … but it was met with OMG you're making our jobs so much harder and OMG this is totally unacceptable. WE NEED PAPER. We must pay the parking garage $20/person to come in and fill out this questionnaire. Think about it. $20/parking for 100 jurors is $2,000 in taxpayer dollars, not to mention the time off they had to take from work, paid or unpaid. JMHO.

Nevada Court of Appeals order I am looking at. You state there are no facts in the brief when there are. This order states there are no causes of action discussed when they ate in 2 pleadings and indices. The brief is okay, but why ate you ignoring the filings?

I am unimpressed with Court of Appeals and NSC for a longtime. Their rulings are wonky, and they are on a mission to attack attorneys in orders that are decent colleagues. Yet, the same people keep getting elected.

First the county, now today the state says it will make $700M in cuts. The State and County approve $750M for the stadium. But now they want the employees and their families to suffer layoffs because they gave money to Mark Davis. I see a direct correlation between County and State shortfalls and the $750M gift.

Wait until the contingency fund dries up. The Clark County tax payers will be on the hook to cover the shortfall of the dedicated room tax for the stadium and the convention center expansion.

8:59, it'll almost certainly be inevitable.

From an economic standpoint, this has the makings to be way, way, WAY worse than the Great Recession. Unemployment alone will be dramatically worse than even the worst part during the Great Recession. Governmental revenues will plummet far more dramatically, far more deeply, and far more quickly than they did during the Great Recession. Look at just this one figure: tourism accounts for at least a quarter of the state and local governmental revenues (sales and use taxes, gaming taxes, live entertainment taxes, transient lodging taxes, etc.). That revenue base fell to zero almost literally overnight. Property tax revenues won't be far behind as property owners begin defaulting on property tax obligations.

Hold on to your butts 'cause you ain't seen nothin' yet.

PPP a paperwork nightmare. Keep in mind that your bank will be very conservative. We use 1099 and W-2. Including all paperwork but only using W2 for average payroll.
Also, they say 2020 940's and 941's should not be required, but print the damn drafts and submit anyway. Bankers are uptight when reviewing paperwork. Think, HS graduate with extremely high conscientiousness and little creativity, if any.
