Department 22 – 2020 General Election

With ballots set to start arriving in mailboxes next week, it’s time to talk about the contested judicial races featured on that ballot. We welcome your comments on the qualifications of the candidates as well as any information you can offer to help voters make an educated decision. For District Court Judge, Department 22, the candidates are:

  • Johnson, Susan Holland
  • Nadig, Ben

I can't stand Susan Johnson. I think her rulings are terrible. I know very little of Nadig, but he seems decent enough, so I'm going to vote for him. I wish some of these bad judges had attracted better challengers.

I don't know Nadig, but Johnson needs to be replaced. Based on her temperament and her lack of respect for the time of parties and counsel that appear in her courtroom (not just limited to her perpetual lateness), I cannot vote for her.
