With ballots set to start arriving in mailboxes next week, it’s time to talk about the contested judicial races featured on that ballot. We welcome your comments on the qualifications of the candidates as well as any information you can offer to help voters make an educated decision. Just remember to keep your comments appropriate and try to avoid defamation.
For District Court Judge, Department 21, the candidates are:
- Clark Newberry, Tara
- Reynolds, Jacob

Jacob Reynolds all the way. He is very sharp, hardworking, and has the proper temperment.

I have been on the other side of cases with Jacob Reynolds and am very favorably impressed. He seems like a nice, honorable guy.
This is one of the toughest races. I respect both candidates and believe either one would make a good jurist.
This is a tough one for me. I have no experience with either candidate. Kind of leaning toward Newberry at this point, but someone could change my mind. So have at it.

Jacob is the better attorney and better person running this contested Judicial race. I have met both candidates and he is the better choice. I like his TV ads as well.
Better attorney than Tara on what basis? That's an unsupported statement and unhelpful to those of us who don't know both candidates. Is Jacob even a litigator? And I don't mean acting as a second-chair lackey. How much courtroom experience does he have? According to his firm bio, he's listed as senior counsel. I think he used to be of counsel or maybe partner. What prompted the demoted title?
I'm undecided in this race.
He used to be a partner, he asked for his role to be changed to focus on political consulting, if I remember correctly.
Jacob is AV-rated, a former partner at one of Nevada's largest firms, a former law clerk for a U.S. District Court Chief Judge, and an all around excellent candidate. I spent a summer as a law clerk at his firm–he was intelligent, respectful, pleasant, and an effective litigator. I am not surprised that he has made it this far in the race so far. He would be an excellent judge.
Jacob is likely a very good attorney. He is also very politically motivated. At byu law He was in the Federalist society and was a favorite of a professor who routinely talked about UN Black helicopters . Indeed his primary business for a while was a political consultant. I wish him well, but his overt political bent is likely to bias his view. While for many cases he will likely do fine, there are a significant number who i would be concerned about.

3:02, you sure told 2:21. Your one vote is going to make or break Reynolds' campaign? I do not have any faith in this Trump man or any other Trump man. Jacob Reynolds is a Trump man.
