Re: Inmate
Funny how law enforcement is always at fault when the detainee is OD on drugs and refuses to cooperate. Blame is never attributed to the detainee.
For you soft heart no nothings, cuffing behind the back and placing the detainee face down is done in part to keep officers from being spit on, bitten or kicked.

Does deleting video footage also keep officers from being spit on, bitten or kicked?

Not the issue of the OP. Typical Dem, When you don’t have anything on the issue, deflect by changing the topic.

Maybe we’d know that the kind-hearted good Samaritan officers did nothing wrong if we had all the video footage? Why wouldn’t these blameless individuals not want the video footage out there to show that this was all the prisoner’s fault?

Besides, OP stated that cuffing behind the back is done to protect the officers. Why does video show the prisoner then cuffed with his hands in front of him?

From the article:

“The footage, as described by the medical examiner in the report, shows Odale groaning as he is taken to the prison infirmary. He is face down with his hands shackled behind his back. Then, the autopsy says, “after a gap, video coverage resumes,” showing prison staff performing CPR on an unresponsive Odale.

“When the video resumes, the inmate is face-up with hands shackled anteriorly,” the medical examiner wrote, meaning that his hands were no longer shackled behind him but were in front of his body.

He was pronounced dead soon after.”

Not OP here. But, lack of trust in anything the government says in this day and age is understandable, if not totally appropriate.

That said, ANYTIME the footage disappears, a certain presumption arises. Practically, irrebuttable in my opinion.

This post is by the non-lawyer who posted last week complaining about the “illegals” taking union work

Regardless of the source, there will be under the table hiring, most likely in service, hospitality and construction.

Make no mistake. I represent several union contractors and they all knowingly or willfully blindingly employing illegals that are NOT paid under the table. The employees fill out the required I-9 with whatever identity that they are working under.

Contractors nationwide are declining/refusing to sign up for E-verify (even if required by a contract to do so) because they are then required to sign up and run every employee nationwide.

Stopping his breathing was “done in part to keep officers from being spit on, bitten or kicked.”

If there is a “gap in the footage,” (how convenient), then there should be a presumption that the missing evidence would have disfavored the footage-gaper. Just like any other spoliation case.

Many years ago, Michele Fiore went down to the same crossroads where Robert Johnson obtained his talent for the guitar. We do not know what deal she made, but we do know that she has slipped through countless circumstances that would have held virtually everyone else to account. Michele’s crossroads deal is still enforceable. I do not know how she wiggles out of this, but trust me, she will.

Robert Johnson died at age 27. The deal with Faustian bargains is that they do not last long before the piper calls.
