Quit crying you poor poor little victim. People make these comments all the time and they aren't taken down. You defame someone, the mods take it down. You call for insurrection or sedition, the mods take it down. You comment on how all the new judges are women, lo and behold it stays up. But keep on with the self-victimization.
Maybe if you had the guts to make the post with your name on it so the world could see just who this racist and misogynist guy is, they might leave it up.
Middle-aged white man here. The DA's office has been over-represented on the bench for years. When I came to town, the only District Judge who came pretty much directly from the PD's office was Huffaker (believe it or not). The only women were Becker and Shearing. Judge Guy was the only African-American I think – Earle White had recently lost his seat and Douglas wasn't there yet. With these recent results, one could perhaps argue that the pendulum has swung pretty far in the opposite direction, but this is after decades of a bench mostly populated by elderly white senile d-bags. My only regret following this election is that it is a zero-sum game, and we lost a couple of really outstanding judges (Atkin and Bare primarily).

Anybody think Elaine Chao resigned in order to avoid having to make a decision as to whether to support action on the 25th Amendment? It's perfect, you can appear principled in your resignation but avoid the awkwardness of actually having to give a thumbs up or down on removing a president from your own party. Them McConnells are crafty.

Karen here. I agree with 12:27. I just don't know how white males have survived with this tremendous double standard against them. It's sad. Really sad. They're all very special and I love them all.
What is there to say? I would say that a majority of people will acknowledge that at best Trump is a danger to America that should be removed from office immediately, and at worse a seditious traitor. My elderly conservative lifelong Republican parents are acknowledging that "there's something wrong." My Republican peers are either: quiet; washing their hands and not commenting; or telling me "f you, I am done hearing about this and I am moving on." The die hard Trumpers will continue the fight. I say fight on losers. America democracy survived a wannabe dictator. I will toast Trump's departure on 1/20 at the latest, hope that he and his spawn become social pariahs, and spend the rest of my life waiting for him to croak so I can fulfill my life mission of pissing on his grave. Molon Labe mother fornicators.
Trump is the best President the USA ever had. He was so good they had to pull out all the stops to bring him down. If I have another son, his name will be Trump.
Wow, 6:56, your rapier wit serves you well. Let me guess, you think there were WMDs in Iraq, right? Obamacare was going to cut medical costs and let you keep your doctor. Jeff Epstein killed himself. BLM cares about black lives. And Trump did not win in a landslide.

Jay Young is about as qualified a candidate as can be found and I think he's a good and the right choice. Admittedly, it also helps that the other finalist is staff counsel for AIG which carries the mark of the beast.
Plaintiff PI lawyer here. I've spent several years litigating cases against Alex. Having been her opposing counsel I can say that she is knowledgable, fair, pleasant, and knows the law. She will make a great DC.

In all sincerity, is there a good argument for what Las Vegas is doing with these homeless encampments? Seems like if the property owner is OK with them being on the property, repeatedly sending them back on the street in the middle of winter and a pandemic is bad policy and immoral. But I would like to hear the other side.
Check the "not a white male" box.

This didn't get the love it deserves.
Is no one commenting on the cluster in DC yesterday because we're all still speechless?
What happened?

Strong take 5:32. Now run along, the mayonnaise sandwich your Mom made for you is about to turn.

AIG?!?!?! No way. That is just wrong. I will be outraged if they snub Jay "Grammy" Young for an AIG attorney.
What is AIG?
AIG is the epitome of the smug evil corporate overlord. Not kidding. Not being sarcastic. I've had to deal with it as an opposing party.

Encampments? I don't get out much any more and definitely don't go downtown. Is that where they are?
What is a Specialty Court Hearing Master? Is that like DUI's and DV's?
Drug Court, Mental health court, gambling diversion court, Veteran's Treatment Court, Etc.
All my favorites! Shit, that's just one weekend.
Pence does not want to invoke the 25th. What a Harry Reid wuss.
