Hey, is anyone else getting these absurd e-mails and letters from the State Bar asking you to provide them with information that you already gave them eight months ago? The ones where they won't tell you what they are missing, just that they are missing something, and where you have to send an e-mail to some person to be removed from the "late list" because apparently their crack website team can't figure out how to make this happen automatically? WTH am I paying some of the highest dues in the country for?

It's phishing. Throw it out.

I got one of the phishing letters in the mail, too. I also got an email saying my declarations were late. They weren't. I submitted them online 8 months ago like the other poster did. The problem is the crappy web software the State Bar uses doesn't generate a receipt. So when they lose their records, they just say you didn't do it, and you have to resend it. I explained this to them in my response, but they are so hopelessly disorganized, it probably won't fix anything.

9:44 here. This was not phishing, unless someone also swiped a bunch of their stationary and set up a dummy website. When I (re)submitted all of my information, I received nothing by way of receipt or acknowledgment that it went through, so I have to assume it did, just like I did last time. Fine system we have here.

Know it was asked earlier, but what is the link for the discovery blog?
Three more horrible name choices for the NHL franchise. Based on Foley's love of his time at West Point, it appears that we are going to have some variation of "Knights" in the name.

Inevitable and horrible. Someone should tell Foley that his homage just reads like cheap fan-service. It's like naming your new band Metallicanz.
