I was watching the news last night and it was mentioned that early voting turn out was dismal. What are your projections regarding the upcoming election results? Will there be a red wave? Any guesses on the few judicial races?
There are actually some solid republicans running that I am reasonably excited about. @125 is most decidedly NOT voting in the Republican Primary.
My $0.02 about low early voting turnout is that people are waiting for election day to vote IN PERSON and don't want to be a part of any election shenanigans.
My ballot says Republican, and I dropped it off, so yes, I am voting in the Republican Primary. The primary for the Senate seat is an embarrassment. The primary for Governor is an embarrassment. The GOP candidates for Treasurer don't seem to understand what the job entails. I voted for Public Administrator and the only candidate for SOS that wasn't an election denier. Even the candidates for the more local elections, like Recorder, are terrible. There was one candidate for the County Treasurer that was okay, and that's because he worked in that office for years. It is absolutely an indictment of today's GOP that these are the kind of high quality candidates we can come to expect.
3:25 PM is right about the red tsunami. A lot of these unqualified Republican candidates are going to get elected because the country is polarized and very dissatisfied with President Biden. This happened in 2014 as well. A bunch of wack-a-doos, who were objectively not qualified for public office, got elected to the Legislature because of a red wave. Adam Laxalt is going to be one of our Senators, as surreal as that is. Michelle Fiore will be our Treasurer, which is crazy town. This is absolutely happening.
@2:19 I'm thinking of doing the same. As well, when I turn in my mailed to me ballot I will be opening and writing on it really large TRASH VOTED IN PERSON.
2:19 you do know that you can early vote IN PERSON, right? What is your concern about election security? Are you worried that Donald Kirk Hartle might try to use your mail ballot?
219 here. Read what I said again. I did not say that I had concerns. I said that I was of the opinion that there were concerns and that that might be affecting early turnout.
If you must know, I shredded my mail in ballot and intent to vote in person. Haven't decided whether to vote early (I have until Friday) or on Primary election day.
I will say that my personal knowledge and conversations with most GOP officials is that they are not expecting a Red Tsunami. They are cautiously optimistic of hoping for a Pink Wave. Nothing even rising to the likes of 2014.
Why are you going to such great lengths to deface the mail in ballot? If you're SO concerned with someone using your ballot to vote, why not just keep it and throw it away, shred it, deface it, burn it, etc. after the election results? Seems you're being dramatic. I will say, I agree with some other comments that you're not a real Republican, but just voting in the R primary. Maybe you're a RINO at best.
@134 OP not a republican. Just a liar trolling this blog.

The Crawford news has kind of pushed the Ponzi scheme out of the limelight. Anything going on with that?

Why isn't anyone posting about the 2022 Justice of the Peace candidates? As a community member who is not in the legal loop I count on reading this blog to help me with voting information and I can't find any active post.
blog is dead
But strip clubs are not – I went to one last week – I saw some boobies – I liked that

Red Tsunami is coming. We will get our revenge.

2:41 is right. I sat down to fill out my ballot and ended up throwing it away after realizing there were no candidates I was excited to vote for.

PS: I still do not believe that OP is a registered republican. But that is me.
I agree with OP and I am a registered Republican, but I am voting for the crazies as I am spy for the Dems.
You arent the only one.

2:19 "there were concerns…" as in "many people are saying…"

Look at the blog's May 25 posts on the JC races.
@3:24 If you count on this blog to help you with voting information then you should not be allowed to vote.
Stop. People can vote how they want. This blog has articles, linksand feedback I find it informative.
They keep the links up. Not all posts taken down
Thanks! Found them.
Re the Orange County lawyer's comments about getting a defense verdict:
1) Nothing he said was necessarily inconsistent with what he argued to the jury.
2) Why the hell would you post that video publicly.
That was the weirdest thing to me – the firm posting it in a celebratory way!
