He had a 0% chance to lose so I doubt it’s that, but maybe he didn’t want to be in the minority again.

Now my question is – do the Rs try to Shanghai him into running for AG?

The word was that Amodei wanted to step out of the House long enough to avoid the remainder of the Trump term and hoped for a return to normalcy in 2028 when he would try to return to the House.

Return to normalcy? Does that mean he wants another crack at selling off Southern Nevada federal land?

Sturman retired today and is already going to be back on the bench as a senior judge? Anyone know what is going on?

She now qualifies as a Senior Judge and to be paid as a Senior Judge. No heavy dockets. She can perform spot work when she wishes. What about it do you want to know about?

just seems weird she retires middle of the term on a random Friday and then will still take work as senior judge. Why not just finish the term if you’re not going into actual retirement?

Agree. Like retired on Friday – back to work doing the exact thing as a senior judge on Monday. Seems like she didn’t…retire?

Well yeah, but she gets to take retirement plus pay for senior judge work. Who wouldn’t want that?

Clerk’s Office…. This is ridiculous. Summonses over one week and not issued. Writs now in the queue for 28 days not issued. Come on.

Call and bug them after 1-2 days. Anything longer than that is not acceptable.

Calling the Clerk’s Office is a good way to burn off hours of wasted time. It really is a disorganized mess
