I am in favor of supportive laws when cops are protecting life and property. What percentage of Metro cops actually protect life and property? The only ones I see are stealing property from the innocent, whether via traffic piracy, asset forfeiture or whatever. I think about 40% of the budget for Metro comes from that. Ridiculous. I pay all these taxes for what? Illiterate kids taught by illiterate PERS sucking teachers?
Disability or retirement? You can get disability for a disability that isn't indefinite. The disability has to last (or be projected to last) at least a year though.
Also, make sure your client is not trying to collect unemployment (where you swear that you're able to work) and SSDI/SSI (where you swear that you can't work) at the same time.
