Funny how people see doom in every move. I was there for awhile several years ago and left for a "greener" pasture. Wont say it was a complete mistake but I have had more than one regret. No office is perfect but it was a good place to be.
Did Frank:
go out on his own?
join another firm?
take clients?
take associates?
He's a good lawyer and a good guy. He goes back a ways with that firm; back to the days of that funny building downtown. During his younger years he was Al's trusted golden boy. Not sure if that's been the case recently as it's been a while since I've had a case with them. Good luck to him; he's a rarity in Vegas – a competent lawyer who isn't a prick and gets by on good lawyering rather than juice and underhanded tactics – at least that's been my experience dealing with him.
I used to hear a lot about about the environment at MAC…like that they had a chef in to prepare lunch for the entire team once a week? Retreats for the entire staff? Did that sort of thing actually happen and does it still?
Was once a prisoner there. Still miss that lunch but that's about it. Flansburg has been the golden boy for years. His departure has to be a shock to most and a huge loss to the firm from a business generation standpoint. Frank is a fantastic attorney and mentor.
SCHWARTZFLANSBURG looks like the name of a city-state in Europe. They should consider putting a space between their names. Until then, I'll hope that 2018 is the year that Schwartzflansburg finally gets a competitor in the Skeleton in the Olympic Games. Go Schwartzflansburg (it'll be like a modern day Cool Runnings)! I have ancestors from Schwartzflansburg you know.

Is it Sam Schwartz, the bankruptcy attorney? That seems like an odd pairing.

Don't see anything juicy in this thread. Anything actually happening at MAC other than a lawyer leaving? Big whoopy? Is there anything newsworthy happening, or did someone just anonymously start an unsubstantiated rumor?
Someone step up.

I chuckle at all the MAC lawyers who try to change the subject.

I'm not an MAC lawyer, but I see no interesting discussion about MAC worth keeping going. If you have interesting info about MAC, please share it.

Did the bank sue LSC for $6 million today? I saw a report on CNS that said that but didn't find the complaint on the 8th JD website.
How do you run a firm into the ground like that? If that is true, they essentially "earned" $6 mil less than what they took out as draws. Don't know if that was over the span of decades or over a shorter period, but that means they were running the firm into the ground big-time.
Just because the members of the firm didn't sign personal guarantees doesn't necessarily mean they're off the hook here. I would expect to see a fraudulent conveyance claim and a number of equitable remedy claims made, such as that the members were holding the distributions in a constructive trust, such as piercing the corporate veil, etc.
Interesting indeed. The firm probably has no assets other than receivables, and I wonder what those amount to at this point. Probably not much. Some type of fraudulent conveyance claim is the only way they are likely to get much back.

Why does Willick keep filing motion after motion in family Court concerning the exact same issues he already lost on appeal, I thought he ran a well respected firm
Sounds like there is trouble in "paradise" at MAC
Yeah. The talent (i.e., Flansburg) has left the building.
Flansburg was the last, but certainly not the first good attorney to leave that firm over the past few years..

We had a different partner discussing a move over the past few weeks with our office.
Details??? What's the scoop?

It wasn't once a week. The chef provided lunch every day.
We still have a chef cooking lunch every day. And retreats to Sandy Valley.
Wow, not only lunch every day, but a retreat to Sandy Valley every day. Sounds like Disney World. Why would anyone want to leave?
It does sound magical
Yeah, but even prisoners get free lunch.

January 9, 2015 at 11:32 AM – Well said, I concur.
Actually I don't concur. Flansburg in my opinion is a greedy liar. Hint Hint County Recorder's Office
Regarding LS&C refugees, does anyone have news on what Bill Maupin is doing?
going with Hejmanowski according to website
Hmm… not seeing that on their webpage.
He is not going with Hejmanowski.
I wouldn't either.
Maupin is going to Naylor and Braster. Two other LSC refugees
I call bullshit.
On flansburg
Look at SoS Website for SCHWARTZFLANSBURG, PLLC
Never heard of this Schwartz guy.
If it is Sam Schwartz, he seems pretty decent from my limited experience. Mainly a BK guy I think.

Rad comment. I hate all citizens of Schwartzflansburg.

Can't default on a $6 mil loan, bro.
No personal guarantees on the line of credit or the office space lease….very smooth. Very strategic.
Looks like it's Case No. A-15-712097-B

This will be interesting as it plays itself out.

Probably because he is a family law hack and has his paralegal doing all of his work.
