The headline about Judge Hicks "clear[ing] the way" is obnoxious journalism. Judges rule on law and equity, the do not "do" things the way that headline implies. The article even has a quote from Judge Hicks saying, "I don't have evidence that would support the granting of a preliminary injunction or a temporary restraining order." Stop with the bias bs.
I expect this trash from the media, not from a lawyer blog.
It is literally the title of the article. Not the blogmaster's words. But it is also true that by denying the preliminary injunction, Hicks "cleared" the way for the roundup to move forward.
9:57 relax my friend. Seriously today is a good day to call a family member and take them to lunch. Life is short, don’t let the stress get you seriously.
Does anyone know what is going on with Department 5, Judge Barisich? I have a couple hearings that keep getting pushed back by the court with a Notice of Change of Hearing filed by the court. There have been 3-4 such Notices pushing the hearings out a couple of months now.

Any good one-stop shops for attorney advertising? Facebook, search engines, etc?
It depends on the type of law you practice. In support of this, think why so many PI use billboards, why so many family law use PPC, and why so many esoteric workman's comp lawyers use referral networks. If it doesn't blow your cover, may I ask what area you are in?
"O J weighs in Henry Rugg's sentencing" Doesn't look like very effective reporting by Channel 8 to let such idiotic opinions and statements to be offered to a reporter, and then very broadly and publicly be disseminated by the station, and remain unchallenged by any follow up questions, and with the article omitting critical, key information.
O J complains to the reporter that he(O.J.) got a more severe sentence for retrieving memorabilia that belonged to him, than Ruggs got for getting very drunk, driving at an absurd rate, and killing a young person.
Now, Ruggs did, IMO, warrant a more severe sentence, but that's not the point. The point is that the reporter or news writer from Channel 8, allowed this absurd, utterly false narrative nonsense to be such broadly released.
Did Channel 8 forgot the part that this supposed lawful, peaceful retrieval of the memorabilia was established at very violent, threatening gun point?
Might be important to include that in the article and/or remind O.J. about that.

1:29-Agree that it's nonsense, but it's not like Channel 8 conducted an interview and neglected to remind him about th gun and/or neglected to include it in the article.
This was not the result of an interview between O.J. and a Channel 8 reporter.
O.J. posted this idiocy on some platform, and the station is simply reporting what he posted.
But I believe they should not have bothered(with the article), as I personally don't know anyone who any longer cares about his views of the criminal justice system

Well, OJ didn't kill anyone (at least not in Nevada), so the disparity in sentencing is appropriate for comment, as is Collins 3 mo probation.
