Draskovich is exactly what Telles wants, someone who will talk a lot before bailing on the case.

A win for transparency and Our Nevada Judges. No more automatic sealing of child custody cases.

“Accordingly, we hold that EDCR 5.207, EDCR 5.212, and NRS 125.080 are
unconstitutional to the extent they permit closed family court proceedings
without the exercise of judicial discretion.”

Which side of this question did LACSN weigh in on?

I didn’t read the amicus briefs. I don’t even know if they filed one. It would require actual legal work, so its a fair assumptions that they sat this one out.

This is great news!!! The family court cabal is coming apart. No more secrets. No more shady deals. Done. Family court judges want to give rapists unsupervised visitation? Tell that to the voters!!!

I need to review recent jury verdicts in Clark County. I have Westlaw, but it isn’t very good. Does anyone have a recommendation for another program that provides or summarizes recent jury verdicts?

Membership in NJA. Trial Reporter. Lexis/Nexis. WestLaw used to keep track of that and even reported them to subscribers. Have you tried contacting research attorney/department?

Fani Willis testimony is something to observe. No way she prepped. Yikes!

Did she need to prep to kick that much ass on the stand?

She did awful on the stand and actually incriminated herself on stealing funds from her campaign.

I’m curious how you think she stole money from her campaign. She pulled 50k from her personal retirement funds to pay for her campaign. I mean, the testimony is recorded. It’s pretty easy to see.

This entire thing is a farce and she wasn’t having it. I thought she did a great job. Was the relationship a smart thing to do under the circumstances? No. But it is not disqualifying in any way.

We can thank Newt Gingrich for this. Ever since, Republicans just can’t seem to get over sex they themselves aren’t having.

Fani: “I pay for everything using the cash app, oh except for when I reimburse my boyfriend, then I pay with completely untraceable cash.” Her testimony was cringe.

Marshal and Jennifer are probably spiraling right now. No more secret tribunals in family court. No more hiding from the public. Time for those “public servants” to face the voters.

I thought that Alexandra McCloud did great and I did not expect that she would. Anyone have any personal experience with her?

Alex is really smart and experienced. I 100% expected she would knock it out of the park.

She is nice but i do not find her to be judicial. On the other hand, she is certainly no worse than at least 8 others that I count on the bench currently (who I shall not name in order to avoid the Thwack).

If you like Judge Gall you will like Alexandra McLeod. Worked for both and expect Alex to be as good as Judge Gall.

I have been co-counsel with both Gall and McLeod and do not find them similar at all. Better analogy might be a younger Sturman but more likely a closer to a Delaney/

Didn’t mean to imply anything about their similarities as counsel. Just think one will be as excellent as a judge as the other.
