  • A recall effort is underway to remove North Las Vegas Municipal Court Judge Catherine Ramsey. Ramsey previously made headlines when she sued the City over their failure to defend her in a wrongful termination action. [RJ]
  • 8NewsNow’s George Knapp tweeted yesterday that former Secretary of State Ross Miller is partnering up with Gordon Silver’s Dominic Gentile and Michael Cristalli to form a new law firm. Anyone have more details? Does this mean Gordon Silver is going the way of LSC?

I was very excited that Cinemax was having a late night showing of "Kirkman's Schoolgirl Problem" — turns out it was just a math lecture.

I believe solipsism is the correct philosophy; of course, that’s just one man’s opinion.

And the only one that counts to that particular man. Solipsism is typically a female trait, but it's very fashionable for men to adopt feminine ways nowadays. Kudos.

On my way to court guy stopped me and asked if I was a lien attorney. Looking at his situation, someone must have recorded a lien against his shopping car

While I commend Navarro for her endeavor to the State Bar to combat legal fraud, we don't even police our own effectively. Wolfson won't do anything about lawyers committing crimes, unless bar counsel does something. Bar counsel won't do anything unless Disciplinary Panel does something.
Bar president, board of governors, Wolfson, all of you are sleeping at the switches! Get off your bureaucratic asses and do something about it!

Dominic has probably changed firms, in one way or another, over a dozen times. I wouldn't let his departure be the sole indicator that the firm is falling apart.

Ah, HPL and anyone affiliated with them is not respectable. Most of the partners of Lionel Sawyer ran the firm into the ground, committing questionable business practices. That is not respectable. Not overly impressed with GS either. Jeff Silver is not the greatest human. Bye, bye. I hope Lewis and Roca is next!

By pure coincidence, "powdered alcohol" means "foreseeable misuse" in Swahili. I might just switch to PI for the sole purpose of taking advantage of the generous money-making opportunity the maker of this product has just given us.

Okay, that's what I was trying to post. Obviously, if I knew how to use the internet correctly, i wouldn't have had to go to law school.

GOOOOO Nevada!!!

I have followed this case for years. I have no idea how this girl is still in prison, and how the prosecutors/judge/Wolfson sleep at night.

Can't wait for the inevitable series of explosive incidents that occur around the first instances of powdered alcohol availability.

So, it looks like Dave Thomas, Las Vegas judge-maker is behind the Ramsey recall effort.
