The Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline hearing for Judge Steven Jones wrapped up on Friday. The Commission is expected to meet and decide on the outcome sometime this week. [RJ; 8NewsNow]
Meanwhile, Lisa Willardson is still in the spotlight. The RJ’s Glenn Cook, who outed Willardson as the person behind Nevada Judicial Watch (now Nevada Judicial Guardian), wrote an editorial on Willardson’s “unhealthy obsession with judges.” Naturally, you will find several comments from Willardson in the comment section for the editorial. [RJ]
Not Vegas-centric, but to remind you we’re not alone–northern Nevada judge Michael Gibbons was charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in death of a 61-year old cyclist. [RGJ; RJ]
Approval of the demolition plan for the Harmon at CityCenter was delayed again to give an insurance carrier a chance to explain why it still needs to do more investigation. [Vegas Inc.]
Congrats to the UNLV football team on beating the odds. They’ll be playing in the Heart of Dallas Bowl on New Year’s Day after a 13-year bowl drought. [Las Vegas Sun]
That editorial is quite amusing. But seriously, doesn't Lisa have any friends? Anybody who can sit her down and say, "Girl, you need to stop this now."?

Lisa Willardson comment on the RJ editorial: "I'LL PUT MY DOCTORATE DEGREE UP AGAINST YOURS ANY DAY … Oh, that right you don't have one … Please, stop with the name calling … You are better than this post …"
She is self-immolating and doesn't even realize it. This comment is the antithesis of the basic threshold of temperament of a judge, even by Nevada standards. She comes off like a 13 year-old-girl. She is not embarrassed, clearly, but I am embarrassed for her. I realize that people in Las Vegas are uneducated and stupid, but dead Lord, they can't be stupid enough to elect her…. Right?
Secret marriage! Secret marriage! Yes! The only thing this case has been missing.

We all must make sure, that when Lisa Willardson files in January (and you know she will!) as a candidate for Family Court Dept L., that everyone remembers that she will have very tough competition in Mary Perry, Esq.
But of course she will, Mary. I just wonder if there is an incumbent running as well? If so would not a sitting judge also constitute "tough competition" if only by having the incumbency advantage?
Sorry, but this is not Mary Perry who made the 3:24 pm post. To answer your question, the current incumbent in Dept. L. Is Judge Jennifer Elliot. The post was geared to Ms. Willardson, not Judge Elliot.

Please, promise me she is not referring to her "juris doctor." Please?
Nevada elected Halvorsen. Does that answer your question?
Girl is straight up wearing a wedding ring in the RJ Photo. WTF??
