Everything about Fiore’s case in front of the Judicial Commission will make her a folk hero and help her in every office she ever runs for in the future.

This woman is so toxic. She’s a national embarrassment to Nevada.

And she did not lose one single day of pay or benefits during this entire ordeal. We who pay taxes are suckers.

I think i black out of my mind how taxing the holiday season can be with family and holiday obligations. While i appreciate and understand how special the school holidays can be for the kids, it can wreak havoc with trying to maintain the regular demands of law practice. I do usually try to make these couple of weeks as clear as it can be but it does seem inevitable the three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are difficult despite the best mitigation efforts.

How much are you supposed to give your paralegal/assistant for Christmas? I am an attorney at a firm. I am a non-owner. I recently switched paralegals and assistant only a few months ago.

to piggy back off of this, i am also a non owner. i was thinking of giving my paralegal something, but she has been doing such a bad job that she is no longer going to be my paralegal after this month. i feel like i should give her something, but at the same time i feel like i would be rewarding bad behavior. what say yall?

Christmas gifts aren’t performance based – they’re in the spirit of giving and a reflection of work all year, alone. When you’re not an owner or the person divvying out the performance based bonuses – your gifting is optional, but I always recommend something and never shy away from a Wells Fargo $50 bill. I’m giving mine $100 and my legal assistant $100. They’ll all be bonused by “the firm” as well.

Ballou is not running. DA Colleen Baharav is the only one who has announced she is running for Dept 24.
