Idaho…. This seems exceptionally punitive to a lawyer leaving a public agency (which they are likely already seeing some lower end of the spectrum pay) to have a judge possibly keep them on a case after leaving the agency? Or perhaps i am overlooking some details that perhaps it only applies to the ‘conflict’ attorney contracts that may have seen a dip rather than PD’s leaving the now state PD agency.

Somehow LVMPD will find a way to justify killing the innocent victim. They are already equivocating in the story about the reasonable perceptions of the officer. GTFOH

Saw that on the news. It makes no sense. Officer wasn’t sure who was the aggressor so, F it! Shoot one of them and they’re sure to stop fighting?

I would personally drive a stake through his/her heart.
This evil will most likely be released administratively (without bail) and probably will get off with a fine and suspended sentence. It’s just not right.

As an animal lover it kills me to know how pure dogs can love and how innocent they are. The terror they experienced is unimaginable. What a sick fuck to do that

Tough to forgive something like that. Even tougher to know that the culprit will likely plead out to some low level misdemeanor.

I’m headed home to spend some time with my dog. That, a little food twice a day, and some water are all she asks of me. And in return she’s a better friend to me than any human I’ve ever known. We don’t deserve dogs.

The 83rd Session of the Nevada Legislature begins on February 3. Petition your legislators to enhance penalties for animal cruelty. Anybody sick enough to harm defenseless, cute puppies will not hesitate to hurt people. They are a danger to the community at large and need to be punished severely!

100% agree. First time offense should be a minimum 6-12 months in jail. They aren’t going to take it seriously if you just slap them with a misdemeanor.

There is a Facebook called Clark County Family Court, or something to that effect. It is administered by a woman named Karen (true!). She is one of the loudest proponents to opening all Family Law matters to the public. Yet, her group is private. What a hypocrite.

That group is pretty good and even-handed. It is private because she was being harassed by certain attorney(s) within the Family Court Bar. If you cannot understand the legal difference between governmental proceedings that are statutorily to be open and a private group on Facebook, well then I cannot help you.

@11:00 you’re partially correct. Karen has been targeted by members of the cabal in the past. But, that group is not all on the up-n-up. There are people (including attorneys) who are making money off the misery and dysfunction of family court through that facebook group. And yes, it’s a private group, not a public court. There is a difference.

I welcome what you think is not on the up and up. When you say “people (including attorneys) who are making money off the misery and dysfunction of family court through that facebook group”, are you referring to the fact that certain attorneys get recommended over and over in there? Sure. Because those are clients who are actually happy with those attorneys’ services and recommend them to other paying clients. It is about as organic as it comes. The admins in that Group generally withhold recommending attorneys (but will share their negative experiences with certain attorneys). People are allowed to share their opinions on the performance of counsel and frustrations with the court system, just as you are doing here.

Are you accusing me of being Karen McAuley? You are sadly mistaken. If for no other reason (since you seem obsessed with her) that the her writing style is quite different.

Unless there is a credentialed 501(c)(3) involved, count on anyone affiliated with family court being part of the cabal whether they’re an attorney or not. I know there is a commenter who frequently includes LACSN as part of the cabal, but LACSN has publicly come out against the cabal on the issue of transparency in family court. From my experience, the vast majority of people involved in family court are there for the money – judges, lawyers, therapists, and paralegals. There are a few decent ones…few being the operative term.

Hello that’s me re LACSN. Not that I’m important but I’m completely open to having civil discussions and posting why I think what i do. Mention me next wee as I’m leaving town for weekend n I’ll have discussion. I can tell u real quick that some get free representation while the cabal blocks flat fees etc so the other side can’t respond. They do this while encouraging the cabal efforts knowing the unfair advantage it gives them . Have great weekend friend.

LACSN’s horrors and greed are in the guardianship area. It is good thing some very rich individuals fought to limit its excesses. LACSN has aided and abetted abuse and exploitation of protected persons, while trying to defund its opponents.

I do guardianship. LACSN has cleaned up the guardianship arena entirely from all of the private guardians that were exploiting people.
